Josephine stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection in a new knee-length dress. Her white skin looks perfect wearing a peach colored dress with a sabrina collar shows off her shoulders. “What do you think, honey?” Jo asked her husband, who was dressed neatly this time. Nicko’s appearance looked different from usual. Josephine bought him a formal dress set from J Couture. A brown Chinos pants with a short sleeve shirt and covered by a black coat make this young man look even more handsome.

The dark eyes of Nicoria painted even darker and her iris appeared red and she was holding her pet bird, Eggy. Akshara could not hold back herself from laughing, “What a sudden change, Nic. You look different… Your hairstyle and your lookup everything looks different. Did your aunt help you to do this makeup? Today is not Halloween, then why this costume... Nic, only Uncle Bruz comes in advance. It’s fine if you like it” Nicoria opened her dark-coloured lips, “Shall we eat?” Everyone sat at their chairs and Akshara throw an idea, “What if we celebrate Halloween in advance since everyone is present?”

he smirked. Inside the box were new outfits—matching ones. Royal blue and silver. The material shimmered faintly like it had been woven with magic. Mine was tailored like a sleeveless gown split into flowy pants, cinched at the waist with silver cords, and adorned with a fine chain that ran across the shoulder to the hip. Cassius’s version was a sleeveless tunic that cut across his chest diagonally with fitted trousers and the same silver embellishment. We matched. I should’ve rolled my eyes or acted nonchalant. But instead… I smiled. Wide. I loved it. Not just the outfit, but what it symbolized. We looked like we belonged to each other.

Takuto Kimura stood nervously at the door of his grandmother’s house, adjusting the red Tang suit his mom had picked out for him. He looked less like a well-dressed young boy and more like a walking WANGZAI milk candy. The vibrant red fabric clung to him as if it were trying to suffocate him with festive cheer. He could practically feel the judgment of his cousins already. As he took a deep breath, it wasn’t to prepare for family bonding but to brace himself for what he knew would be a battle—his cousin was an all-around child prodigy, and Takuto had no intention of being outperformed today.

Then, unable to restrain themselves, they exploded in laughter. Nestie’s costume hugged his large frame too snugly and the two cousins were amused at how he looked. “Go on and laugh, you lovely girls! What am I supposed to be in this costume?” He had two white translucent wings hanging from his deep yellow costume while around the lower half of his body were black bands. “I think you’re supposed to be a bee, Nes!” said Celie, laughing at his friend’s appearance. “Is it really that bad?” asked Nestie, unable to see how he looked.

I returned a wide smile to my face and turned around to face them. As expected, Nino was dressed like the young son of a vampiric assassin. His outfit made me break into a genuine smile. His puffy cheeks and sharpened eyes gave him a bold, cuter look. And the expression on his face nailed it. I looked at Loretta and couldn't help but chuckle. It was the first time I had seen her in a gown. Her gown was beige and flowed around her feet. That couldn't be comfortable with how heavy it looked. Still, she looked beautiful.

"They sent a pawn to my home. That was the invitation, the Gala is the venue. If I don’t show up, they win, If I show up and hide in a corner, they still win." He pulled a garment bag from the wardrobe. It was heavy, I could hear the fabric shifting inside. "So," Nico turned around with the bag. "I’m going to give them exactly what they want." He walked over to the bed and laid the bag down before slowly unzipping it. The firelight caught the contents, making the room seem to ignite for a moment. It was the dress. Sloane had joked about it. But this wasn’t just a dress, It was armor disguised as fashion.

She was beginning to break down a bit, and he could see it. “Kid go for a walk,” CJ stated as he could see it as well. She turned and walked out as she did all the men’s eyes widened for a split second except for one. When she clear the tent flaps and CJ could see she was far enough away. “What is that thing she is wearing?” “It’s clothes more specifically, a shirt and a pair of shorts,” Mitsuhide said sarcastically. “Your clothes,” CJ and Nobunaga said at the same time.
