Alpha's Cursed Bride
Chapter 52
The Light We Carry

The manor has outlived its name.
No one calls it Moonshadow anymore. The maps label it simply “The Garden,” or sometimes “The Heart.” The building itself is a patchwork of centuries—original stone walls wrapped in living wood, wings grown from the great oak’s roots, towers of crystal raised by descendants who learned to sing stone into shape. The courtyard is a forest now, the great oak its center, its branches a living roof that lets light fall in patterns that change with the seasons. White flowers carpet the ground year-round, their petals never falling, their scent always the same: soft, sweet, like the first breath after a long-held silence.
