Shadow Paladin Cardfight Vanguard Novels & Stories

I shook my head, biting my lip to keep quiet. He smirked, a wicked glint in his eyes, before returning his attention to my breasts. My hands roamed his back, feeling the play of muscles beneath his shirt. I tugged at the fabric, suddenly desperate to feel his skin against mine. He set me down gently, allowing me to pull his shirt over his head. I drank in the sight of him, all lean muscle and tanned skin. A scar curved along his ribs, and I traced it with my finger, wondering at its story.

His name, Shadowless Hadrian, was shown on his head. Shadowless Hadrian's body emitted a faint glow and there was a huge bright circle under him. The circle looked like the back of a tarot card. It had a huge star and it was glowing too. It was Raeleigh's first encounter with games and she was observing every little detail on it. At that moment, Scarlette said coldly in the game, "Shall we continue to fight monsters today?"

For now, I’ve evaded his wraith, but something tells me that I won’t be so lucky the next time. His hand falls to the side, pushing into his slacks and pulling out something from his pocket. Two shiny black cards and he offered one to me. Lifting a brow at him, taking the card. “What is this?” “It’s VIP cards to Nightwolf.” My lips twisted, fire burning through my veins with ire. “Is something wrong with you? are you genuinely so twisted that you want me to watch those sickening fights- “ “Who said I’m inviting you to watch.” He responded with a sly grin.

The creature feeds off where it was born, off the rage and vengeance hidden inside me. My eyes glow red, as I find the one shadow I crave, "But you." The shadows look amongst themselves and one by one they disappear, each to their owners until only two remain. I stand before the shadow, and disregard the one beside it. It is loyal to the shadow as its owner is, and will not leave without her. I study the tall slave before me as her image forms as Shades did, as does the one that stands slightly beside it. The face of the slave warrior forms, every detail identical, only her eyes remain her dark pits of Shadow.

Keagan waved his hand over it and a new option appeared; Artifacts. The menu dropped down, revealing a new entry into his arsenal. It revealed an artifact—a shard from the broken mask of the defeated villain. The system's voice continued "This artifact grants you the power of shadow manipulation, a skill once possessed by your formidable adversary. By activating the shard, you can tap into this extraordinary ability for a limited time." Keagan's eyes widened as he grasped the significance of the artifact. The power of shadow manipulation, at his disposal. It was a chance to harness the very essence of his defeated foe. A surge of excitement coursed through his veins as he contemplated the po

It was a pathetic and undeniable craven existence but it was how they were winning the war. Dave let out a sigh. "No. He used a HG blade." I nodded. A brilliant man named Henry Gomez spent his life developing a UV spiked, but essentially silver based liquid that could be applied to any metallic object, leaving a coat of active poison that would kill both shade and host upon entering the their shared body. Something in perfectly balanced formula temporarily imprisoned the shade and as long as the wounds you inflicted on the human were mortal, the shade shared the same fate. The HG liquid had become as precious to us as light bulbs. It was hard to come by at the best of times, especially out h

Outside the viewports, the bay doors of the seventy-two star-fortresses opened. Five hundred sleek, multi-environment fighter craft—forged from meteor-steel and equipped with dragon-scale solar wings and abyssal pulse cannons—erupted into space like a swarm of brilliant shooting stars! At the lead of the first interceptor wing was Squad Triad One, commanded by the Academy’s finest graduate officers: Kael the wolf shifter, Lin the dragon-blade weaver, and Nereus the trench guardian! Cadet Commander Kael’s voice boomed over the ship’s comms, supremely confident: “Triad One to Vanguard Fleet! Shadow shield up! Dragon-fire charging! Trench cannons ready! Show these Void-Swarm bastards what the M

I open my eyes and take the card out of the blinding glow, and as my brain registers the card it looks blank, but I do as tradition states, spin around and hold it in the air for all to see. The gasps and the yelling starts, and I don’t understand why, so I bring the card down to my eye level and watch it. The card is black with what looks like six white silhouettes on it. There are colors beginning to swirl within each of the white silhouettes. Glancing up I see six figures walking toward me, but I can’t make out who they are. “Mistress to the Veil! The whore and her men must be sacrificed! You know the law! Kill the betrayers!”

The smith smiled at the next ruler, "Shadowfen needs a ruler with some guts. What can I do for you?" Zinjo pointed to the decorated leather armor, "We'd like to purchase this set." "It will cost you an arm and a leg. Decorative pieces have been in high demand lately. The name is Scathach by the way, war maiden and smith extraordinaire." She noticed Aurelia staring at the blades in the glass case. "Do you like them?" The smith asked. Zinjo stared at them and smiled, "They are the perfect fit for the armor, dark princess. What is the scroll for?"

"Makes sense, such an obnoxious and disrespectful man doesn't deserve to have a mate. I appreciate you taking the bold step of getting rid of someone like him." I wanted to throw my head back and laugh hysterically. Noah was fuming by that point, his face contorted in rage to be insulted like that. "How dare you insult me like that? Do you have any idea who I am?" Noah barked, trying to take a step towards a very calm Asher. I remained between them. "No, but I guess you are going to tell me," Asher replied with a smirk. "I am Noah Caroll. Alpha of the Night Shadow Warriors Pack. Owner of Caroll Industries," he tittered, stating everything that was supposed to be mine.
