I recalled as I transformed into my beast form before grabbing it and running towards the east tower where the lanterns were. Buying me time to grab a lantern and dropping the mushroom on top of the burning candle. The shadow figure shrieks as it burst into flames while the mushroom slowly catches on fire. The shadow creature crawls towards me lighting the ground on fire but it disappears into the flames long before it got to me. I sigh in relief as the Hikaru stomps out the flames.

She whispered a spell of misting, blending their shadows into the storm, and disappeared into the outskirts of a nearby mountain town. They got five years. Five beautiful, borrowed years of hiding in attics and basement apartments, living on the scraps of the human world. Then, the scent of wet fur and old death had returned. Anna remembered her mother’s face;not as a victim, but as a queen of the arcane. She had pushed Anna into a crawlspace, her hands glowing with a terrifying, incandescent light. Shadow coalesced between her palms—thick, writhing, *alive. Selene's essence, channeled through her champion. She hurled it. Luna threw up a shield of moonlight. And then, before Zaria could even react, the shadow let out a final, chilling hiss and dissipated—not destroyed, but withdrawing into darkness, leaving only a faint, lingering energy in the room.
