So I made my way and as expected Raphael was already waiting for me there. "If Caspian asks where I am, you don't know, are we clear, Raphael?" I said, getting a small bag. "But Princess this..." trailed Raphael. "Enough," I ordered. Raphael is my right hand and my general. Assassins trained him from a young age and were my mother's bodyguard. After my mother's death, he pledged his loyalty to me when I became their leader. Raphael is a bulky person; he's very tall, has muscles, and is always serious. He has pale skin and brown hair, and his eyes are green.

I didn't know why, but an indefinable emotion floated up from my heart. I frowned slightly, skillfully hiding the unease in my eyes, and continued to chat with them. By the time I reacted, Raphael was already standing in front of me. Raphael was born an emperor. Especially when he didn't speak, he looked even colder. I turned my head and saw several men winced at the sight of Raphael. "Mr. Lancaster." Still smiling, I raised my glass at Raphael. "Ms. Chancey, it's been a long time. What are you talking to them about? Collaboration?"

The silver was burning his hand, forcing blood to drip on the dead ground. "You've taken too much from too many. You greedy bastard..." Raphael lifted his eyes to me before he looked down at Haden again. "You touched my mate? The mother of my child... I don't care if I have to become you, Haden. I will wipe you and your goons off of the face of this planet. And I'll gladly started with you..." I watched in horror as Raphael knelt down beside my brothers and started cutting Haden piece by piece. Raphael didn't want to give Haden a quick trip to death. No, he wanted to be as slow and as agonizing as possible.

Raphael shouted sternly as slowly his sharp fangs started coming out. “You killed him, and now… I'll kill you before you ruin everything,” Raphael added and pounced on Angel. However, Angel formed a protective shield around himself, blocking the attack. Seeing this, Raphael's anger flared up as he formed a ball of fire and threw it at Angel.

He said. I just laughed. “Oh man, that was an epic battle. Necromancers and Risen everywhere. Haven, that crazy ass Forsaken bitch trying to get you to love her. Then Raziel calling the Shadows, restoring memories. That was a train wreck, and you’re right, at least I gave you a heads up!” I cackled. Raphael smiled at my comment, which was crazy to me because he hasn’t shown outward emotion in a very long long time. “Thanks, brother, for always having my back.” Raphael said. “Of course, man. Anytime. I will let you know when the time comes for shit to get real.” I said, then I stood to head out.

“Raphael, please, please don’t do this...” “I don’t want to hurt you,” he says, almost pleading. “But you’re not listening. You need to remember who you are before they twist you completely, before he twists you. You are meant to be mine Raven and you need to remember that...” A sudden howl cuts through the trees. A deep, savage howl. Not Raphael’s but Caleb's. A tremor runs through the ground, or maybe it’s just me, shaking. Raphael freezes, his head snapping toward the sound. Another howl answers. Closer this time. He curses under his breath, looking back down at me. “He shouldn’t be here yet. Not now.”

Raphael continued while he stood in the center of the office, looking confused, his gaze drifting from the door back to me. “Lucian, was that Sophia you were linked to?” He asked, feigning surprise. I knew that look. Raphael wasn't just surprised, he was calculating. He had been my right hand in the Shang Pack for fifteen years. He knew the depth of my hatred. He knew the nights I had spent staring at the ceiling, dreaming of the day I would wrap my hands around Shawn Harvey’s throat. Who in the line of Wolf wouldn't be surprised seeing me and Sophia Harvey together after what happened to my family because of the same Harvey? It was like seeing a lion lying down with the serpent that bit it.

He is good and fighting with a silver knife, so I am not quick enough as they put Clara and Sara into the van. As I deflect another attack from the hunter in front of me, I get a glimpse of Raphael, who is now in his full Lycan form. He moves very quickly, catching up to and grabbing the human hunter that has his hands on Jess. He rips him to pieces before wrapping his arms around Jess and picking her up. I finally manage to disarm the hunter and kill him, but Raphael already has Jess in his arms.

I see him and the lead vampire who met us at the border, begin to make their way to the door. “Coward!” I shout at him, hoping to distract the vampires still trying to get to me. Raphael snarls at that, as I swipe another group of heads off the vampires in front of me. He looks at me when he gets to the door. “You’d better hope that you find that hybrid bitch before I do,” he yells as he races from the room. Son of a bitch, he’s after Ennata. By the time we’ve killed all of the vampires in the room. King Raphael and his minion are long gone.
