Gael's smile faltered for a moment, but then he recovered, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm just trying to enjoy the sunshine," he said, his voice innocent. "I didn't mean to distract you."
I laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Save it, Gael," I said, my voice firm. "I'm not buying it. You're not fooling me with your little tricks and your charm. I know exactly what you're capable of, and I'm not interested."
