His phone rang just as her own phone beeped, and he did not miss the panic in her eyes before she dashed out of the kitchen. Kyle sighed and answered his phone. “Kyle Davids speaking.” “Mr Davids, hi!” Came a familiar voice. “It’s Shannon Botha, don’t know if you remember me.” “Of course I remember. And please,call me Kyle. How can I help you, Shannon?” There was a long pause on the other end before she spoke again, her tone more urgent. “Kyle, there’s something I feel you need to know, it’s important. “Sorry that I didn’t tell you but I didn’t go to Hank’s wedding, at the last moment they said I don’t know the bride wanted a private wedding.” I said and she sat down on the couch staring at Lucas.
