Everyone was surprised when they heard Shannon say that she might be the reason Karen had gotten shot. “What?” Mrs Wolfe exclaimed, eyeing Shannon with a perplexed gaze, not understanding what she was saying. Indeed, Shannon's realization was very accurate. The shooters had targeted her, not Karen. However, Karen's proximity to Shannon had inadvertently saved her life, as the assailants missed their intended target and shot Karen instead. Additionally, Shannon was fortunate that the assailants chose not to step out of the vehicle, likely fearing the imminent arrival of law enforcement. Their departure without completing their sinister task also spared Shannon from further harm.

Hearing Thaka cursing like that, Sherina had guessed that the girl she was talking about was definitely Shin. Suddenly the big room with full AC became hot for Sherina.
