Not my spec
The contrast between our worlds was way far.
As I drew closer to the stage at the front of the hall, something caught my eye. A broken shard of a rod lay on the floor. It was small, metallic, and shiny, resembling an acrylic rod, but the fractured edge was lethal and razor sharp. Because of its size, I tried to pick it up, but my fingers slipped. The sharp edge sliced deep into my skin.
