SHATTERED ILLUSION

SHATTERED ILLUSION

“Clarke…, hey, how are you? I have been trying to reach you.” Clarke didn’t respond, just stared at me, before bursting out in silent sobs. I frowned, taking the seat close to her. “Hey, what is the problem?” I asked quietly. “I am so sorry, but I didn't have a choice.” Clarke cried out, sniffing softly. “What is it? What happened?” “My mother, yesterday she fainted and I had to rush her to the hospital. They wouldn’t attend to her till I dropped a down payment and I didn't know what to do. I couldn’t let her die, I am so sorry.”

SHATTERRED VOWS, STOLEN SHADOWS

SHATTERRED VOWS, STOLEN SHADOWS

I walked straight up to the heavy iron gates, my eyes fixated on the dark second-floor window of the house. I thought I saw a shadow move behind the glass. A pale silhouette. My heart shattered, reformulating into pure, unadulterated violence. "Julian!" Marcus yelled, jumping out of the driver's side, running after me. "Wait! Think about this! If we break that gate, there is no turning back. It's war!" I turned my head slowly, looking at Marcus through the torrential downpour. My eyes were cold, devoid of humanity, filled only with the promise of destruction.

THE ALPHA'S WIFE IS NO LADY

THE ALPHA'S WIFE IS NO LADY

A wild, unhinged roar of pure agony and despair erupted from my chest, echoing off the cold stone walls of my prison. I surged to my feet, driven completely insane by the crushing weight of my own colossal failure. I lunged across the dark chamber, grabbing the heavy brass candlestick from the nightstand, and slammed it violently into the tall glass mirror mounted against the wall. The thick glass shattered into a thousand jagged, silver shards, exploding across the floor like falling stars. I stood before the broken frame, staring at my fractured, bloody reflection with wide, tear-streaked eyes, my chest heaving as my wolf howled in permanent, irreversible loss.

SURVIVAL JOURNEY

SURVIVAL JOURNEY

After all i had already became the atrocious girl in the family so what was the point of still being a virtuous girl. "The shattering of a heart when being broken is the loudest quiet ever" by Carrol Bryant- resembled the situation of my splintered heart. My heart was shattered like a thousand pieces of broken mirror. And this was also the day from when I started thinking I was a cursed child with a cursed and tenebrous fate; this was the day my Ill fate started and I was doomed for life.

I have been anxiously giddy waiting for this time to come where I'd drop review on this book. The author behind this book is as lovely as her works, okay - not about the author. The book! The book is damn hot & interesting! I couldn't keep my phone down for even a minute, I was eating & reading. Go!

Shattered Reality

Shattered Reality

Alexis Porterawakeningdarkness
I nodded to Nathan and we both got out of the car slowly, not really sure if we wanted to go in. I stepped over the threshold of the place I called home for the past few months. The once spotless foyer laid out destroyed in front of my eyes. The pristine tile was crumbling under the once majestic chandelier that gravity helped explode on the shining surface. Glass littered the ground that wasn't occupied from other debris. The dark pattern of a wolf and moon was almost indistinguishable by now.

My Shattered World

I muttered, wiping my tears as I locked the tablet and set it aside. She turned around and sat beside me with an arm around my shoulders. “Are you… I mean… do you remember? Do you know who you are and what you’re supposed to be doing?” I nodded stiffly. “Yeah… I remember now. I remember it all… and part of me wishes I didn’t.” She frowned. “What is that supposed to mean?” I sighed. “I can’t tell you. Something… it’s personal. I’ll trust you this far. Do you want the crash to be over? For everything to be fixed?”

SHATTERED -MY-DARK-PAST

SHATTERED -MY-DARK-PAST

How jinxed could I possibly be. I reach underneath me and take off the heels and throw it to the corner, my legs feel like Jell-O. I stagger to my front and pick up a sandal. I sit on a chair by a makeup table and begin to remove the makeup off my face with a wipe. The girl staring back at me in the mirror looks so beaten and emotionally broken, I feel like a shadow of myself. When will it stop, when would all the misery end. I wish I could go back a month, when my life was still good, when I had not heard about the death of my brother or when I had not met Thelma.

Shattered Silence

Shattered Silence

Charlotte’s shoulders collapsed inward, like she wanted to disappear. I closed my eyes, and the rage surged through me like wildfire. It wasn’t just about Evan and Charlotte. It wasn’t even just about betrayal. It was years - years - of being taken for granted, of having to be the bigger person, the one who understood, who endured. And now I was standing in the middle of a room full of people - an audience - and two of them had shattered me. I felt the burning bile rise in my throat. Felt it clawing to be released.

Loathed Wife of the Wicked Billionaire

Loathed Wife of the Wicked Billionaire

It was a stark reminder that closure and healing were not linear processes, but rather unpredictable odysseys through the depths of shattered emotions. And so, as the music and laughter drifted through the night, I grappled with the haunting resemblance, grappling with a past that had unexpectedly resurfaced, threatening to consume the present. In that moment, I knew that confronting the echoes of lost love was the only way to find solace and rediscover the fragments of my soul that had been shattered in the wake of Athara's departure. Shift

Shift

‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry…just…I’ll do what you want. I’ll let them do whatever, just let me take the pain. Let me handle it.’ My forehead touched the barrier and I slid down to my knees. I didn’t know what was going on. All I knew is that I needed to get to her. No matter what. Suddenly, the barrier wavered again, another scream rippling through and I threw my fist as hard as I could into it. It shattered, the pieces blowing apart and I raced forward, out from the confinement of the darkness.

I was debating on giving it 4 stars because there is a lot of spelling errors. There is also a dead point but around chapter 70 it picks up speed fast. It definitely keeps you hooked with all the twists and turns. Great story line. Abrupt ending but I hope a sequel has started

I LOVED Sky’s story! Such an incredible read!!! I wish we heard where her friends/bandmates ended up but still. Praying for a second to see what happens with Heath and how Ethan (and hopefully Justin) deal with all that will be thrown at them!
