"My King, I-" "Get. Out. Now." He ordered. His voice threatening. My hand still rested on his shoulders. I moved my fingers slightly and his attention was back on me. His skin was hot. Shea let out a snarl and left the jacuzzi seething. "She's going to kill me." I told him. "She's not. She will not come back to the lust realm with us." He responded to me. "What? But she is your partner." I said to him with a shocked tone. "Not anymore. I think Warrior will be a better partner than her." He said with a soft grin. I barked out a laugh and faltered when his hand landed on the side of my hip. I looked down but couldn't see anything since the lights were off. Only the touching of our chests.

Shyam felt an impending sense of doom. He shielded the True-Sun Fist without much thought, but the radiant sword light soon descended and struck the bronze shield before him with a colossal force. At that moment, Shyam could only watch in horror as cracks formed all over the shield. The shockwave then caused the shield to shatter, and the fragments shot out in all directions. Shyam's pupils contracted as he witnessed the scene and felt a bad feeling sinking in. The protective barrier that he cast just moments ago succumbed to the residual power of the sword light. The barrier was torn apart and landed right into his chest.

I retorted back. It was time to put our plan into action. I snapped my fingers together and some of my chosen warriors instantly shifted, making ranks. No one feared the guns and silver bullets for the enemy was unaware of my newfound healing ability. Asher protectively covered me with his body as I unwillingly gave the order. "Attackkkk!"

Sheila brought out her bow but instead of aiming it at the animal, she aimed it at me. “I see the way Alexandro looks at you, I am not going to let you ruin me and Alec’s plan. I am going to marry Alexandro and then I’ll have to kill him so that my dear Alec can become the Alpha. It's damn near winter and she will be human when she shifts back. It's cold, you moron," she says, making a finger motion at Jace to take his shirt off. He struggles to quickly take his shirt off. Half shocked by my sister's demanding bark, I let out a cackle, almost forgetting I hadn't shifted back to my human form yet.

Peeking around the edge of her shield she could see his massive finger tapping it. "Had enough?" the giant asked with a bedeviled smirk on his face. "No! Have you?" she retorted with more bluster than she felt. He laughed aloud, shaking the air, "Feisty indeed! I think you're my favorite slayer so far." With a force seeming impossible for a single finger, he touched the center of her shield and pressed against it. She grunted, digging in her feet, but it was like pressing against a stone wall. He effortlessly pushed until it felt like he was trying to squish her beneath her own shield. She couldn't let that happen.

That was enough. Something cold, possessive, and unyielding settled in my chest. It was the same cold that had kept me alive in the world of power and struggle, the same steel that had turned my name into a whispered warning.
