She was feeling refreshed after spending a week on a tranquil beach with the man he loved so dearly. She just took a shower and was putting on her uniform. She went in front of a little mirror that she mounted on her dusty wall. She combed her hair and put a little tint on her lips. “I don’t need make-up. I am beautiful the way I am,” she uttered to herself while staring at the mirror. “You are a beauty queen you know!” Indeed, Laura was a queen in their small town. Before she entered college, she was hailed the most beautiful woman in the municipality of Pakil in Laguna, Philippines.

"That's good. It's not easy raising a pup alone. I always thought you were a single mother." I smiled faintly. I wasn't before, but soon I would be one. "Megan Cross, you're the most skilled healer we have. Without you, the common folk won't have anyone to treat them. They can't afford the fees of the nobles' healers." Emily glanced at the patients lying nearby and sighed. I gave a helpless smile and turned to leave the healer's tent—only to run straight into Alpha King Jason Boone of the Northern Realm and Princess Bailey Shaw of the Silvermoon Pack. They were both visiting injured warriors.

I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.

She got up and smiled, "Shawn." She threw herself into his arms. As he held her, Shawn shook his head, pinched her cheeks, and asked, "Why are you so stubborn? You never listen to me. Hold on, okay? I need to do something important." He helped her sit at the edge of the bed and went back to face Suarez who had now opened his eyes. Queen got up, took off her skirt, and was about to take off her panties. The gun, which was strapped to her thigh, was now revealed and when Shawn noticed what she was doing, he said, "No, Queen!"

Her voice cracked from the sheer force of her emotion, but it carried authority. Queen laughed, sharp and vicious. “Or what? You’ll beat me? You’ll die trying!” She glanced down at the baby, cradling him with a twisted tenderness that made Amy’s blood boil. Kael reached forward, his long arm stretching, but Queen ducked just in time, twisting her body and hitting an alcove wall that sent a small vase crashing to the floor. Amy’s heart jumped at the sound. She had to move faster. “Kael, she’s not just running!” Amy shouted. “She’s using the baby as a shield!”

"We will escape, and we will defeat you." The Queen laughed—a cold, mirthless sound. "You are brave, I'll give you that," she said. "But you are no match for my power." She raised her hand, and a dark energy shot toward us. With a raise of my hands, I called a shield of light to defend against the attack. The Queen's eyes narrowed. "Indeed, you are powerful," she said. "But that won't be anything compared to what I will do to you now."

He slammed into the Emperor’s podium, crumpling to the deck. Tristan shook his hand, wincing. "That stung." Behind him, Saoirse reached the cage. The yellow energy field hummed angrily. It was a high-frequency barrier, designed to liquefy anything that touched it. "Saoirse!" Helena wept, pressing her hands against the inside of the field. "Behind you!" Saoirse spun around. The fog parted. The Queen walked out. She moved with terrifying, fluid grace. Her silver armor gleamed. Her face was expressionless.

The Queen said, getting up from the chair. All four were staring at her with confused eyes. "I'm Queen Griffin the Luna of the Shadow moon pack reject my four mates Alpha Xain, Alpha Eric, Alpha Luca, and Alpha Peter as my mates and my Alphas’." Queen courageously rejected all four mates. Her words are clear and loud. After hearing the words of rejection, all four's eyes widened with shock. They screamed holding his chest. "Queen, don't be stupid. You can't reject us like that!" Peter growled in pain.

The grief rolling through the bond became almost unbearable. Then— A woman stepped through the flames. Silver light followed her instantly. The battlefield itself seemed to quiet around her presence. Lyra stopped breathing. The First Queen. She looked exactly as the murals portrayed her: silver hair glowing beneath moonlight, ancient markings shining across pale skin, power curling around her like living stars. But unlike the distant, untouchable figure from history— She looked exhausted. Blood stained the sleeve of her white armor while grief shadowed her silver eyes. And yet—

Her heart hammered—a drum of war and dread. She reached for the tactical bag Kael packed for her. Her fingers brushed the leather-wrapped jade pendant he had given her. Her jaw set. The Queen had returned. “If they want a monster,” she hissed, drawing her silver-alloy blades, “I’ll give them one they can’t contain.” The first drone crashed into the East Wing balcony, red camera-eye glowing like a promise of execution. The war wasn’t coming. It was already inside the house.
