The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

"Kaelor, look at the signatures of the ships above." "What am I looking at?" "They aren't Aethelgard ships. Those are Navia hulls. Steam-engines and salvaged iron." Aradaa’s heart sank. "It’s the humans. A 'New Republic.' They aren't trying to claim the ship... they’re trying to kill the 'Beast in the Deep.' They’re afraid of us." "Those are our people!" Kaelor shouted. "Why are they dropping fire on our heads?" A new signal pulsed on the sonar—a familiar, sharp encryption.

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

It was mechanized, detached slaughter. "He's going to level the district," Torin realized, his golden eyes narrowing as he calculated the lethal geometry of the warships. "He's going to burn the infection out, along with anyone who came to the clinic." The cannons on the three warships were adjusting their elevation. They weren't aiming at The Resonance anymore. They were aiming directly at the roof of the customs house, and the packed avenue of civilians before it. "Jace!" Valerius shouted over the rising panic of the crowd. "Can you reach the ships? Can you use the water?"

Jayden's Luck

Jayden's Luck

Holding her hand as we walked merely confirmed it. - "Oh, look!" she said, as we went down the hill toward the docks. "A fleet coming in!" Half a dozen sleek warships were gliding into harbour, with flags raised. A successful run, then. Three of the ships belonged to Inavar the Wolf. The others were independent captains, no doubt happy to sail under his banner. The return of a fleet like this was a major occasion for the city. There would be plunder to be unloaded, catalogued and appraised. An auction would follow, in a few days. There would also be business for the taverns and brothels as the sailors spent their shares.

Captured by the Alien

Captured by the Alien

I was too far away to see what it was, but I figured it couldn't be good. "How good are you at guns?" he asked. "Okay, but I'm not the best," I replied. "It'll have to do. Both these ships are preparing to fire and warming their weapons." I gulped. I usually ran from ship battles with two opponents, not shot back. Of course, this was the first time I had been the cargo.

highly entertaining. I kept wanting to slug Icaan in the jaw, but he finally came to his scenes. I would like an epilogue or another chapter - what happens now? life within the royal family? still out & about in his brother's ship? slave reform? women's rights? I'm left hanging.
Moni And
A smoothly and thrilling written book. Icaan and Jet are endearing, the dynamic between them is great, passionnate and I liked the way it developed. Also that Jet isn't just a damsel in distress but had the wits and guts to fight for her prince. I'd love there be a continuation of their adventures

The Evening Star

The Evening Star

She spotted him across the way giving out orders. “What the hell is going on?” Claire asked, reaching Jonah's side. “Have a nice nap?” Jonah asked his voice trying to be light but his eyes were fixated on something. She ignored his comment and followed his eyes. An incoming ship. She looked at the ship and her stomach sank. It was one of the Queen’s ships. Her eyes shot across to Jack. He didn't notice her, he was too busy in the midst of his men preparing them for battle. “Is he crazy! That's one of the actual queen’s ships! It's not just some pruny ship that has one or two cannons.” Claire shouted at Jonah.

Losing My Siren Luna

Losing My Siren Luna

Beretta, yells. The adrenaline coursing through me makes Val push to the surface, ready for a fight. Jack is not going to be happy if I destroy one of his ships the first time he lets me captain a ship without him hovering over my shoulder. I started yelling out commands, focusing our fire to the front of us. The navy ship was no longer retreating and was now standing its ground, preparing to fight. The last two ships were easy pickings, so intent on escape that they didn’t put up much of a defense. This ship must have realized that escape is not an option.

Another riveting story from C Hazlewood! Love the strong female lead who has been unforgivably wronged by the men who we’re supposed to care for her. This is a story about 2nd chances and I am checking every day for updates. ...️...️...️...️

One of the best books I read. A heroine I respect, a society where men serve women they love, women’s and children’s rights. Sirens, fairies, elves and dark fae. A reminder that everyone has a story, experiences make you, the importance of communication and to seize the day - you only live once.

The Mech

The Mech

The MTA single handedly changed human civilization to worship mechs. "For what?" He asked, and was pretty sure he was not alone in asking this question. Space ships remained the kings of power projection. What use was dominating the surface of a planet when even a middle-sized ship could bombard the hard-won location from above? The warships and the spacers serving on them were the real heroes of humanity. These invisible but vital servicemen defended the borders of human space against alien aggression every day.

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

"I saved them so they could be their own." But as the first rays of the morning sun began to cut through the black clouds of Aethelgard, a new sound began to echo from the harbor. It wasn't the sound of rebels. It was the sound of heavy, rhythmic marching. I looked toward the water. Six massive warships, bearing the seal of the "Global Hegemony," were breaking through the fog. The Council of Aethelgard might have fallen, but the masters they served—the ones who really ran the world—had just arrived to collect their property.
