He held the small, dancing flame steady beneath the tip, the orange glow illuminating the dark circles under his eyes as I pulled the smoke deep into my lungs. The hot, bitter nicotine hit my system instantly, a brutal, welcome shock that temporarily numbed the heavy ache in my gut. I exhaled a thick cloud of grey smoke, watching it drift up toward the warehouse lights. "You're already whipped," Enzo teased, a small, mischievous smirk playing on the corner of his lips as he flicked the lighter shut and pocketed it.

“And if you ever need a buddy to smoke with during your break, I’m your girl.” I freeze, my eyes widening in shock at the blatant offer. “Wait, you mean smoking like... cigarettes?” Raina chuckles, clearly amused by my reaction. “Yeah, you know, the good stuff.” I shake my head, taken aback. “Isn’t that the stuff that kills you slowly from the inside?” Raina rolls her eyes, a playful smirk on her lips. "Oh, please, everything kills you slowly. You just have to pick your poison. Besides, it’s a great way to unwind.”

Shadow’s POV I lit up the cigarette in my hand, took two puffs, and held it in before releasing a cloud of smoke from my lips. The party above me was in full swing with men and women milling about in various stages of undress. Some were fully naked while some were half naked and dancing wildly, half-drunk out of their minds. A smile tugged at my lips when one of the ladies who was topless looked upwards in my direction, waggled her eyebrows at me suggestively, and seductively whined her waist.

Although, he seemed very confident in me getting laid. "Hurry up we're going to be late," Joey says as I take a drag of my cigarette. We're both stood outside the club as I have my last smoke of the day before I hopefully get fucked by a dominant. I've noticed I've been smoking more frequently now Nathan's not there to limit me. That's not one of the things I miss about him, his constant nagging about smoking. I take a last puff of the smoke and put out the tab against the wall. Back when I was 24..." I laughed, "God I wasn't even born yet...." She laughed too and then kept quiet, then looked at me, "is it me or people have been looking at us a bit.. like more than they should..."

She smokes two or three packs a day. Sometimes, her lounge is so smoky that people dare not go in. "I don't know. Maybe it was when I saw Aaron for the first time after I got out of prison." The smoke filled my lungs and gave me a familiar burn that made me feel in control, even if just for a moment. This is actually one of my little secrets. Yeah, I do smoke, and not even Maya or anyone else knows about it.

His lips didn’t stop sucking on the nicotine stick. Looking up—then blowing smoke upwards. “I should have taught him a lesson.” Saka clenched his fists.
