I say, holding it out to him.
“Thanks, Belle.” His fingers brush mine as he takes it, and a jolt shoots through me like a lightning bolt—hot, electric, straight to my core. It's nothing I've ever felt before. I look up at Christopher's eyes, and I can tell he feels it, too. For a moment, the two of us just stare at each other, drawn together by some invisible, indescribable connection. Then I feel my own face turning red.
"Goodnight,” he says, his voice turning low and rough.
