“Here, Daddy.” I laid down next to them, and when I started to weave a story about the animals on the ceiling, Naomi linked our fingers together, while Becky laid her head on my arm. Just like that, all the stress from the day was gone, and I knew that no matter what, I was never going to miss another bedtime story.

Surprisingly, the man had agreed to my daughter’s request without a hint of hesitation and the pair of us had laid down on either side of Abby. The last book Nathaniel read was 'Goodnight Moon.' It was the perfect story to get them ready for bed. As he read, he changed his tone and pointed to the items mentioned in the book. By the time he was done, the kids were satisfied.

Rustling from the other side of the phone, confuses her and she looks around, her eyes eventually falling on the phone on the table. “Dad? Are you sleeping?
