Twist of Fate
he said, furrowing his brows as he looked at me.
"Before baby asked his question," I used my index finger to shush him, "how was today in school?" I asked my boy, twirling his hair, playing with the end.
"Momma, the school was su_su_" he struggled to pronounce the word. My eyes twinkled with happiness as I laughed hard holding my stomach. I remembered using the word last week to describe how I felt when he recited the dua before eating. Children's brains were like a magnet, they caught anything catchable. That was why it wasn't good to say bad or obscene words when children are around. I just said it once and my son had grabbed on it.
