Dogs help in the judgment of souls. "And what is your role, after all?" I asked. "They call me the Angel of Death, Elena," he said, looking totally oblivious to my widening of eyes." I am the last vision a human has before he really dies. I am the one who will arise after a fulminant heart attack and will offer the human death a calm death. The one who will be with open arms to support the bodies of those who fall from high altitudes. The one who will bring comfort to those who die of hunger. The one who will sing a prayer to the desperate and suffering. I am, even after being expelled, the creature that God can use to separate a soul from a human body, and I am also the one who can designat

Kael's POV Everyone has a nice picture of what angels look like. Kind. Beautiful. Loving. Some people even believe in guardian angels. They think angels are here to protect them. To guide them. To keep them safe. But I know an angel who is the complete opposite of that.

I asked him, my voice barely a whisper, though I already feared the answer. "We are angels," Ajal answered softly but firmly. "We, as holy beings, are defined by our obedience to Father’s commands—we serve without question, we love without condition, and we exist solely for His purpose. But falling in love with a human… that would mean that our loyalty is divided. It would mean that we are no longer only Father’s servants, and that we do not serve Him alone anymore. We would belong to someone else too, and that is something that is not permitted for those who dwell in the light." He patted my shoulder one last time, giving me a look filled with warning and kindness, before he stood up straig

“You didn’t think I would actually ascend so soon, did you? I don’t need your apology. My children whom I’ve lost, my children who died and my children who are eternally lost, I have no one to blame but myself. However, if any of the gods are directly involved, then it would be your karma.” She unfurled her wings and flew back to her palace. As she did, she passed several statues of creatures with one eye and several wings covering their eye. Others were a humanoid figure with a blindfold over their eyes and large wings that covered a part of the heavenly court. Those were the angels. They were in a perpetually inactive state until they were summoned or activated. If an Angel was present or

before he left. "You," I whispered not being able to look at his face. He was covered in blood which I'm sure wasn't his. "This is my job, Andrea. I have to do this," he said taking a few steps towards me. "This isn't the Theo I know," I whispered backing up, "This is a whole entire spawn of Satan." And I was right. With blood dripping from his clothes he looked the part too. He chuckled darkly and for some reason I wasn't scared. "That's where you're wrong," he whispered. My back hit the wall as backed away from him. He leaned closer and whispered, "I am the devil himself."

He’s the only one who flashes a smile but Azrael gave him a glare. The last boy was Radeuriel, has clean fringed-up chestnut brown hair and is the tallest and leanest. His ocean blue eyes fits with his long and narrow nose and thin lips that smiles eerily for Azrael. For an Angel, he has a piercing on his left eyebrow and lower lip. They were the Angel of Wrath, Mercy, the Earth, Command and the Archives, respectively. “Give this up. You know it won’t work.” Yerachmiel said, his voice is set as a quiver.

the old man replied. "Did you suffer?" Angel’s mother asked him. Angel gave her a warm smile. "None that I couldn't bare, but the goddess did answer your prayers and sent an Angel to me. Without her help, I would not have been able to contact Xavier. Without her, I would be dead," Angel said. "She is human?" His father asked. Angel nodded. "She is one of my captor's family but also one of us…" "I don't understand," his mother said with a puzzled frown.

Contrary to popular belief, angels were not pretty. Ten feet tall with three pairs of wings, they were surrounded in holy fire with a singular large brown eye in the middle to give judgmental glares at the poor individual who had the misfortune to be in their presence. The Fallen weren’t any better, without the holy fire, they just looked like a giant eyeball with too many wings. Azazel was the Watcher at the gate of Hell, guarding any demons from escaping to the world above and wreaking havoc. He would only let people through either by permission by the Lords of Hell or if he could be bribed.

"Chee (Who is there?) The lady said in a in a language Angel doesn't understand as she hurriedly stood up pointing out a gun. "I mean no harm miss,I only want to help" Angel said hurriedly. "Why do you want to help me?"I don't even know you" the lady said in English this time fluently. Although Angel is no more the cheerful and naive angel from before, there is a little bit of compassion in her still. "Up to you, I only want to help but if you feel like you don't need it then there's nothing I can do." Angel said turning around to continue training.
