My thoughts have indefinitely left the room, having been consumed by my crush that has grown significantly by one little touch. I look over my shoulder to glance at Crayvin and his ocean-like eyes are smiling at me. My heart flutters in my chest, and I pretend to rub my chin against my shoulder. My pencil falls from my hand while turning back around. Leaning down to retrieve it from the floor, my cheeks warm as I force myself not to look back again in case he was still looking my way. His abs were well structured and he looked hot. "Like what you see?", he asked shaking me out of my thoughts. "Don't be deceived. You are not hot one bit." Well, that is a lie, he is actually hot but who compliments their crush that way to the face. "If i didn't see you looking at me that way just some minutes ago, I would have thought you really mean it. Just admit it girl you are dying to kiss me", he said smirking. "Ewww. You have my permission.” He said with a hint of amusement. He was looking at me the same way I was looking at him—like we were teenagers having a crush on each other. Josh let out a groan and closed the distance between our faces, taking my lips in his. He wasn’t gentle at all and was using his kiss to tell me what he wanted. What I wanted.

Fran caught me smiling and broke into a wide grin. “You look like you’re writing about your crush.” She remarked, and I turned red. “No way! What silly crush?” I retorted immediately, and she smiled even wider. “Denial. When denial is strong, it’s usually the opposite.” She told me, hitting her pen on my head. “No way. It’s not my crush. Do I look like I can have a crush? Girls like me do not have crushes.” I said immediately, but she shook her head.

“This isn’t just some dumb crush. You really like him.” My stomach twisted. “I know.” “And he feels the same way?” I hesitated. “I think so.” “Oh, babe.” Cami sighed dramatically. “Of course, he does. Have you seen the way that man looks at you? It’s embarrassing, honestly.” I groaned. “Cami—”

“I thought I was being subtle.” I chuckled softly. “You practically melted into the floor when he looked at you earlier. That’s not subtle. That’s neon lights flashing crush alert.” She buried her face in her palms, groaning. “This is so embarrassing.” “Don’t be. It’s human,” I said gently. “But I need to know something—do you think he might like you back?” Her hands dropped slowly, and her eyes met mine, hesitant. “Sometimes… maybe. I gave it back to him, and when I saw him smile, I looked away quickly. But I couldn’t stop smiling either, as my heart leaped inside my chest. Was this what Savina meant by “having a crush”?
