He didn’t flinch.
“You think he’ll talk to me again?”
Spider was quiet for a moment. “Yeah. Eventually. But you might have to be the one who starts the conversation.”
“I don’t know if I can take the silence again.”
“Then break it before it becomes permanent.”
I nodded slowly, the weight in my chest not gone but a little lighter. Just enough to breathe.
Spider glanced down at me. “Also, if I catch you dancing with another dude who wears his sunglasses indoors, I will throw you into traffic.”
