She’s pale. Wide-eyed. Frozen. Pasha notices, too, and soon the whole table follows her shocked stare to see what—or who—has her so spooked. The man casually approaching us with a devastatingly handsome smile on his face is the literal definition of “silver fox.” Tall, well-built for his age, with streaks of dark hair ribboning through the elegant silver. It matches the flawless beard and practically-glowing gray eyes. And he’s staring at Asya like she hung the moon and stars.

“That's true. Our original color was brown. Dark brown. But when I looked down at my paws… it was… it was..." “Silver,” Rain finished for me, her voice humming with pride. “We are silver now. The color of the moon’s blessing. It isn’t just an aesthetic change; it’s a mark. An upgrade, as you’d call it. A rebirth after bathing in the Goddess’s spring.” I stared down at my hands, imagining the fur that would ripple down them if I shifted again. “Silver…”

It threw me off. The fact that he was a silver blood, I scrutinized his appearance in the photo, there wasn't any resemblance to Hannah or her mother, no distinct silver-colored hair, he just looked like an average werewolf. I had seen his wolf a couple of times but it was just a normal brown color, nothing special. When they found out that he was a silver blood, they took him along with Melissa, but they didn't find anything in him. She asked, staring at Veronica’s hair. “What… What color is your hair?” She asked, with a shaky voice. “Black.” Veronica answered, wondering why she asked when it was obviously black. “No, I mean, is this the original color?” She asked further, and Veronica remained silent, not sure if it was going to be a good thing to tell her the truth. “I promise, nothing is going to happen to you. I just want to confirm something. I give you my words as the Luna of this pack.” After a little hesitation, Veronica finally answered, “NO. The original color is silver. I dyed it black myself.” She revealed, slowly.

I hissed back, watching the man’s pitch-black eyes narrow angrily at me. “Is that a threat? Michael Gotham?” Wolverine Silver whispered so quietly that I almost wasn't sure he had spoken. Icy shards of glass slithered down my back to freeze over at the base of my spine. Of all the wolves at the table, it was Wolverine Silver I was most worried about. He had gotten his name because he was somehow immune to silver. Wolverine was a shredded beast on the battle field who could withstand silver attacks even better than us Alphas. We needed him on our side.

Mr Jones Vones had now gone full wolf as his yellow eyes stared at Damian. Full wolf was a powerful skill. It required the most mastered werewolf to gain. Hybrid wolves usually never got to that skill, nor did they ever achieve it. It was really hard to achieve but here, Mr Jones Vones had achieved it in barely weeks of turning wolf. Damian was a smiled fighter but he always fought as a hybrid, even if he was a full wolf by birth. He had both parents as wolves but he never could achieve full wolf.
