“Thank you.” My mouth hung open when I heard that, the emotions clearly written on my face. Even Silver looked mildly surprised, a light acknowledgment visible in his eyes. Silver then snorted softly, his bubbly aura slowly returning back, the atmosphere that was previously gloomy cleared up. “I am going to catch her now,” Silver vanished. His speed shocked me because I could not believe that anything could move that fast. “He's a thousand years old, he can do things that seem crazy to us.” Cayden explained.

Sora was a hybrid, a biological asset that had been the silent prize in the war between shifter clans and human hunters. Vardan reached for Sora’s arm, intending to haul him back into the shadows of the bunker, but Aidan was more tactical. Aidan pulled a small silver disc from his tactical pocket. The object hissed, then suddenly emitted a sharp, agonizing high-frequency hum. The sound felt as if it were shredding eardrums and forcibly pulling the nerves from Vardan’s skull. The Alpha dropped to his knees with a pained groan, clutching a head that felt ready to explode under the pure silver frequency.

I had no clue. “One thousand gold pieces.” I said hoping that was going to be enough money. Cadogen let out a whistle. “You’re steep. Have you really never been touched?” his eyebrow arched quizzically. “I’m not a prude if that is what you are asking but I have never been intimate that way with a man.” I sat back wishing I would have said a different price. Maybe that was too high. He sat a moment longer, rapping his fingers on the table.

“I fucking know that, Grandpa!” His gun pointed at me in an instant, and my eyes widened in shock as I raised my hands, my jaws clenching as I watched his eyes narrowed into restrained anger. “Language, Kian. I've always mentioned this to you. I know we're family but this is business too. Our business. We can't have enemies spotting weaknesses like these in our defense walls. That's what makes us Silvers. We put family first. Is that clear, Kian Silver?” I'd suddenly forgotten how scary he was whenever things got non-trivial like this.

“All the silver hasn’t left your system yet.” He leaves and comes back with Doc. “Evening Luna,” he says with that fake cheery voice doctors sometimes use. “I’m going to give you something to help you sleep. Most of the silver is out of your system. It should work.” Good. I want to sleep. Being awake, trapped like this, feeling what’s left of the silver slowly pushing its way out of my body is driving me insane. I’d rather just sleep until I can shift back to human.

She stood there and held the knife which she had used in killing him and licked its blood. "Do you all now accept me as your Alpha or should I continue with my initial stipulation...?" She asked and they all bowed once more at her feet immediately ... Sonia simply smiled and brought out a silver ball and dropped it in their front and casted a spell. The only problem I have at the moment is how to get just Phoenix to have it and not include Scarlett. A couple of days after I received the silver serum, an opportunity opened up for me to use it. I put half of the silver serum into a water bottle that was exactly the same as Phoenix's. I met up with Phoenix in the training field. I discreetly swap out his bottle and then enjoy a good sparring match with him.

Since his back was turned to the door, he didn’t see her coming out at all. When he turned, she had already broken into a gallop and was in the process of leaping at his throat. She hissed at me as she went to open the door for our first pack Alpha. “Alpha Theodore Bronx, Alpha of the green woods pack, I brought my sons, Thomas and Timothy as one of my boys will be the next Alpha I hope you don’t mind Luna Riverwood.” A man’s voice said. I couldn’t see him from my seat but looking to Charlotte this was the reason she was here tonight. “Welcome Alpha, come on in. We are having everyone come to the sitting room to meet her so please follow me.” I heard the Luna’s voice come down the short hallway. I stood not wanting to but trying to make this go as well as it could. A tall man with black hair followed the Luna into the sitting room, I of course recognized the boys

“Fucking hell—fine. Silver. Anything silver or wolfsbane. I swear to heav—” I ended the call, shoving the phone in my pocket. My breath came in sharp bursts. My pulse was everywhere—my throat, my wrists, pounding against my skull. Silver. Of course. I remembered the way it burned into his skin. The way his voice went tight with pain when he told me about it. The way he hid it—like it wasn’t a big deal, like I hadn’t fucking hurt him, but I had seen it. Felt it. Now I didn’t know if he was bleeding somewhere, if they’d used silver, if he was—
