His sleeves were rolled up, exposing tattooed veins along his forearms. God. Why was that so attractive? The office itself was dark and masculine. Black shelves lined with books. Whiskey bottles glinting beneath warm lighting. Simon turned suddenly and I held my breath. His eyes landed directly on me and sharpened immediately. The silence stretched for one dangerous second before he spoke back into the phone. “I'll call you tomorrow.” Then he ended the call. I stepped backward instinctively . “Sorry, I was just looking for the kitchen.” Simon studied me silently. His gaze traveled slowly downward. Bare legs, tiny shorts, barefoot. The look in his eyes darkened almost imperceptibly.

I counter, though the sharp sting in my tone falters slightly under the heavy, devastating sincerity shining in Simon's amber eyes. "It is not a spectator sport because we are stepping directly into the crossfire with you, Evelyn, and you can yell at us all you want, but you are never fighting alone again," Simon insists, his voice dropping all its usual mockery as he steps closer, his hands resting palms up in a silent surrender of protection.

Simon replied. "Look Lucy he's one of us and that's the truth of it, you can call the boss to confirm, I need to rest my head, Ryder, go on, how do we go about the plans, but before you start, get us a pack of cigarette" Simon said and Ryder went to get the cigarette. Ryder lighted the cigarette and puffed its smoke out, he cleared his throat and started talking, but I'm still finding it so hard to believe he's one of us.

Raymond asked "Yeah sure." Mr. Simon answered "What about next week Friday?" Raymond asked "Friday is perfect" Mr. Simon responded. "Alright. I'll text you the location before that day." Raymond said "I'll be waiting for the big guy," Mr. Simon said "Thanks, so much Uncle," Raymond said "No need buddy" Simon responded "I should hang up now. I have a case" Mr. Simon said "Sure" Raymond responded, and Simon hung up. Feeling relieved, he rose and undressed to take a bath when he heard a knock on his door.

Simon had a grin on his face as Riley ran his finger along the detectiveÕs cheek before taking his hand away quickly as if remembering where they were. HeÕd been giving serious thought to hitting on her though she seemed too prim and proper for his taste; now, he was glad he hadnÕt put his foot in his mouth. ÒYou want something?Ó

——— Simon sat on the couch, staring at the screen of his phone, his jaw clenched tight, waiting for the location Elena had sent to pop up on the map. He had left the Gala thirty minutes ago, telling Nina that he had some business to attend to. Of course, she had protested, but Simon didn’t waste any second. Mostly because he wasn’t exactly lying. He did have a business to attend to, and that business was currently on his knees, held by two of his men, bloody and bruised. Simon tossed his phone to the couch and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he fixed his eyes on none other than Richard kneeling in front of him, his lips curled into a smirk.

Weirdly enough, Simon and Riley stopped him at the same time. Sharon looked at the two of them in confusion. “When did you two become so well coordinated?” Simon purposely gave her a sour face. He bowed his head and huffed at the little guy. “If you want a kiss, kiss your own wife in the future.” Who dared to act so rashly around his woman? “That’s right. You didn’t allow me to kiss you in the past. Didn’t you say that you’ll only kiss your future wife?” Riley was still holding a grudge over the incident.

Simon was holding his breath when Lilian stood in front of him. Pulling an all casual expression, she voiced out, "What's with your look? Aren't you happy marrying the love of your life?" Lilian gave Evana a smiling look and then again turned to Simon. Shane got there and stood beside Lilian. For some reason, Simon looked somewhat familiar but he wasn't sure where he saw him. "You?" Gulping hard, Simon spoke up, "Sir, I am Simon Caldwell, a project manager of your company."

I tried to sit up. But Riley immediately pressed a hand gently against my shoulder. “Hey—slow down. Don’t rush.” I didn’t know why I was feeling so weak. My head spun every time I moved. “What's going on?” Riley glanced at someone behind her. I followed her gaze. Simon stood a short distance away, his arms crossed—but his expression wasn’t as composed as usual. There was concern in it. “How do you feel now?” he asked in a calm tone. “I’m fine,” I said instinctively, trying to sit up again.

I really wish Aaron changes the rules, this races get too voilent for my liking. On the ground, in front of me, there are two blue eyes wolves and three green eyes wolves. I meet Cole’s beast green eyes and he growls his recognization to me. I smile and sense my mate’s eye on me. When I seek Aaron out, he is looking grimly at me. “Damn! That’s Simon Vent there. He’s the last-to-last year’s winner.” Riley’s friend Eva enlightens us. “Really? I heard he is ruthless when it comes to winning.” Daisy, Riley another friend adds.
