The gigantic skeleton twitched, freed the knuckles of its front paws, topped with curved claws, from the ground, and suddenly rose from its place into the air.
Vic watched with wide eyes as the dead dragon jumped out of the rift. The skeleton of the body flashed before my eyes, a long ridge, turning into the vertebrae of the tail, powerful bones of the hind legs, and on the sides the bone plates of the wings thrashed the air. But the dragon did not take off, it hovered over the lake for one long moment, and then with its whole mass fell on the forest.
