The Forest Paw wolves have earned the training day cut short. “Tomorrow, Lease, Dominic, Miles, and Christian will train the Forest Paw wolves. I want to take Scarlet and train her one-on-one.” I call out above the happy crowd of wolves, getting an excited grin from Scarlet and a yes ma’am from everyone else. It felt nice being as one in a group of wolves working towards the same goal, the goal of becoming stronger. I was proud of Forest Paw, even though I was no longer one of them.

“Patch is a good name. Fits his little rebel spirit.” Talon, meanwhile, was holding a particularly energetic puppy that was trying to wriggle out of his grasp. “And what about this one?” he asked, his voice teasing. “He’s got more energy than Scarlett on a sugar rush.” Scarlett giggled, leaning over to inspect the squirmy puppy. “He’s… Sparky!” Talon raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Sparky, huh? Fitting for a little troublemaker.” Evelyn watched the scene with a soft smile, her hands resting on her knees. “You all seem to have a way with them. They’re lucky to have visitors like you.”

The sky was clear, blue like the sea, the sound of leaves rustling at the edge of the forest was only a few meters away from where she sat. "Miss Lily, Miss Lily, are you awake?" Venn's frantic call was outside the door. Lily put on her shoes and went to the main door. "What are you doing in such a hurry?" Venn was still panting. The boy was also a werewolf, but not old enough or strong enough to control the pace of his steps as quickly as other adult werewolves. She looks like an angry puppy when she’s mad. “I think Adrian’s hungry again.” Skye speaks out, pulling me from the papers in front of me. “He keeps nipping at my fingers.” I chuckle at the cute confused look on her face as she walks towards me. I’m already expecting Adrian to start crying the farther he gets from his sister, but he’s calm for once, only staring at me sleepily with his silver eyes. While Adrian inherited the silver eyes from my undead side, Stephanie has Skye’s chocolate brown eyes, along with her hair. Adrian, though, has a midnight black hair, like me and my father. Damn, he’s going to be handsome when he grows up.

He headed straight for the dungeon, as if he knew every nook and cranny of my pack. “Protect the Alpha!” someone shouted, but I bolted in Mighty’s direction, determined to intercept him before he could reach Skylar. By the time I got to the corner of the pack house, he was already dragging Skylar out of the dungeon. I was too late. Skylar looked at me, her face pale, and threw me a triumphant smirk. He had her, and we were losing this fight. “Leave her alone!” I roared, launching myself at him with all my strength. Mighty responded in kind, and our wolves clashed in a flurry of fur and fangs, battling for dominance. Neither of us was willing to back down.

"A celestial messenger, perhaps? Or a guardian of the moonlit secrets?" The pup, as if understanding her words, nuzzled against Georgia's hand with an affectionate whimper. Maximus, his stern expression softening, joined them, his fingers brushing the pup's fur. "An unexpected companion, but one that brings a certain charm to our moonlit gathering." As they observed the pup, a realization dawned upon them. Its fur, a blend of silver and obsidian, mirrored the colors of both their packs—Veron and Dracula.
