Four mates means you’re much more powerful than anyone knows.” Despite the indignation that coursed through me—having a fourth mate felt like a curse, not a blessing—part of me was curious about what this mysterious fourth mate might be like. Was he another cocky asshole like Lucas? Another brooding jerk like Rowan? Or something else entirely? But mostly, I just hoped I never ran into him. Saskia said flatly, and the bubbly hedge-witch suddenly looked much older than her actual age. "Sector Four is dangerous enough because the lower tiers are always fighting for scraps of magic and respect," she explained, and she crossed her arms over her chest while staring at the floor. "But the academy also forces all first-year students to participate in the weekly combat trials to test our survival skills against each other." "Okay, so I will learn how to fight them," I argued, and I balled my hands into fists even though I didn't have my heavy silver wrench to back up my tough talk.

The Gamma sensed that the Ultima was looking rather amused with the whole thing before Sebastian asked them to have the room for themselves. “Well, Arthur, meet your brother. I should have told you before we stepped in here but the facial expression on your face was priceless and I cannot feel guilty for not telling you. If anything, I was glad that I withheld that information,” Sebastian said before the Ultima chuckling slowly. Arthur glared at him. “I am glad that we provide some entertainment for you then,” Arthur said before someone walked into the room. It was Damien Laskaris, the fourth-strongest of Shadow Pack but he refused to be a warrior.

#Skylar P.O.V ......................... I arrived at hell ..yeah that's school... and everyone outside is looking at who the new girl in school is. I hoped out of my car like a boss and make my way to the front doors of hell. As I make my way through the halls all the guys are looking at me with lust and desire. And they're all whispering things like, "Look at that ass." "Dude I wanna tap that." "I call dibs on that ass."

I turn around after pushing the button. Looking out the window, I see whole sections of the academy's outer courtyard opening and tall white towers coming from the ground. A spark starts at one tower before jumping to the next and then to the next. In only a few seconds, thousands of sparks jump from tower to tower, circling the academy. A few seconds later, beams of light shoot up from the towers and meet in the sky. They all collide before quickly falling back down and covering the whole academy. "The shield is up," I say. "Yellow Sun Academy is safe."
