Chapter One I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. The first thing that hit me was the taste - bitter bile that coated my tongue like acid. I tried to swallow, but my throat was sore, and the Dry feeling on my tongue intensified. As I struggled to sit up, a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me to lie down back. That's when I heard the beeping. A steady heartbeat that echoed through the length of my body reminded me that I was alive. I didn't feel that way though, I felt like I'd been run over by a truck.

She clutched her cramping stomach, her face twisted in pain. Linda immediately called an ambulance. By the time they got Jessica to the hospital, she was ghostly pale. The doctor was about to give her medication to stop the contractions and save the pregnancy. That's when Jessica spoke. "Help me get an abortion. I don't want this baby anymore." My head went blank. "I didn't put those photos up!" Jessica gave a cold, tight smile. "It doesn't matter if you did or not, Michael. I just want you to learn a lesson. I want you to never dare to hurt them again."

Chapter 39: The Wake Up Pain was the first thing I knew. It was not a sharp pain. It was a heavy and suffocating weight that pressed down on my chest like a slab of granite. My veins felt like they were filled with broken glass and acid. I gasped. The air caught in my throat and turned into a cough that rattled my ribcage. I opened my eyes. It was dark. I was lying on cold stone. The air smelled of bat guano, dry earth, and old blood.
