Anya’s POV I yawned tiredly as I walked around the palace outside my chamber. I was bored and decided to look for something that could interest me. My movements came to a standstill in front of a massive entrance; I moved closer to the door and noticed two soldiers on standby. "Palace's library." I grinned as I read the term etched on the top of the door, hoping to acquire a book to help with my boredom. I entered the library, my eyes darting around, my lips curving into a smile as I read the titles of the neatly stacked books until a book caught my sight. "How to Bond with Your Wolf," I read aloud and pulled the book out of the other books.

It was a shout from outside that made us panic. "Kill them!" A barbaric voice yelled, and multiple of the rogues came inside. They started killing some innocent slaves while the Lycan King’s troops were fighting with them. One of their guards fell in front of me lifeless; my hands were trembling when I searched for the keys that they used to our shack. I was breathless, and I knew that my life might be finished, despite the fact that I wanted to get revenge and justice with my bare hands. "Gotcha!" A deep-seated fury burned within them, a fire that seemed to fuel their every move. Their eyes blazed with an unspoken rage, a rage that seemed to course through their very veins like liquid flame. Their arms moved with a swift, deadly precision, the edges of their blades slicing across the skin of their victims with a sickening ease. The slayers themselves were a terrifying sight to behold. Clad in black from head to toe, their faces masked by darkness, they seemed to blend seamlessly into the shadows. Only their eyes gleamed with a malevolent intensity, a fierce light that seemed to burn brighter with every passing moment.
