Chapter 10 Secret *** POV: Shea Vestine-Thorne The sun was already up, and streaks of light escaped from the curtains – which were being swayed by the warm wind. Shea woke up with her core still sore. It was understandable, though. She just slept for a few minutes last night, and Denver took the opportunity to make love with her again… taking her to possible heaven for a few more rounds before they finally settled down. He was indeed unsatiable.

chapter two ‘It’s time. Come, quickly... I need you!’ The words followed him, up out of unconsciousness as he was roused from his precious sleep. Precious, for him especially as an insomniac. The time he spent in a dream state—especially these days—was few and far between, and he resented anything that interrupted it.

From where he was standing, this looked very very bad. “I slept walked,” I still tried to explain, blurting out whatever came to mind. “It’s been happening. I swear. This wasn’t… I wasn’t... I just fall asleep sometimes and wake up at your room. Well usually not in, but outside at your door. And—” I stopped as I noticed his nostrils flaring as he was clearing taking in a scent, and his pupils dilated to twice the size they’d been. Oh shitake mushrooms! “Techka…” Nikolai murmured.

“I’ll be back in an hour, so take your time and get some rest, Himari” Tess begins to leave and I nod with a smile in promise. The doctor leaves after running his checks, reminding me to remain bound to the bed. I do heed their kind instructions and sleep all through the day after having a breakfast of food I’ve never eaten before. I don’t know how long I sleep and the next I’m rousing with a yawn to the back of my palm, I see the entire bedroom is ridden with the light from the sunset. “Oh my, I nearly slept all day” I yawn again, gently pushing the heavy layers of comforters off my body to perch the soles of my feet to the- Huh?
