Damien. Damien: Did she roast you? A smile crept across my face before I could stop it. I typed back quickly, No. I’m in my office already 😊 His reply came almost instantly, like he’d been waiting. Damien: I’m sorry about that. I bit my bottom lip, fighting a grin. My thumbs moved before my brain could catch up. It’s fine, I wrote, adding a tiny heart I deleted three times before settling on a simple period. Professional. Totally professional.

Only unanswered questions lingered in Smiles's head, leaving her hanging in space, in the world of questions. Trying to calm herself down, she saw them, Mark and Xena. Walking towards her, it's like a test on her self-control. Watching them with the malicious smile on Xena's face was no good sign but her being Smiles, the only last one of her kind, she could only brave up herself, putting in a straight and happy face.

My smile was hesitant and small but it was a smile nonetheless. “Deal.”

Slim I leaned against my car in the parking lot, waiting for the familiar sound of the bell to signal the end of the school day. Feeling restless, I absentmindedly touched the cut on my cheek, then reached for the cigarette I had tucked behind my ear. I lit it up and took a deep drag, letting the smoke fill my lungs before exhaling slowly. As the bell rang, I dropped the cigarette on the ground and extinguished it with my shoe. The doors swung open, and students spilled out, eager to escape the building. People approached me, much to my displeasure. Being popular seemed to make sense to others, but it held no appeal for me. I disliked social interactions of any kind, but I tolerated them.

“He is weird like that.” “I wanted to give it to Mr. Connell, if I gave him a portrait of Kayden smiling, it might help with his condition.” Crystal confess with quiet empathy, she was very worried for Mr. Connell. “I just can’t get it right, his face is always hard and he doesn’t smile, the only time he does is when he does something demeaning and I tried to draw that type of smile.” She swiped through the drawings and Petra laughed. “This smile would give Mr. Connell a heart attack.” She laughed even more. “Since you are doing this for Mr. Connell I think what you should do is make Mr. Smith sit down so you can do it properly.”

The lady answered. " Then what type of smile is a happy smile?" Holden couldn't help but ask. A smile creeped up the lady's lips on Holden's question. " Well I think a happy smile should be just like this; " The corners of your mouth turns up in a natural curve, you grin naturally and laugh like this" The lady answered demonstrating it. " Com'on, close your eyes and imagine what I am talking about" She said and Holden slowly closed his eyes. He suddenly could see himself in an unfamiliar place, which looked like a seashore. He was putting on white throughout and before him, was a lady putting on a white dress. He couldn't see her face clearly but only saw her lips which was creeped up in a w

she greeted silently. Zaahida's face broke into a wide, welcoming smile. "Wa' alaykum salaam. (Peace be unto you too)," she greeted back in an overly cheerful vouce. "Good morning, Zynah." she stood and moved towards her, engulfing her in a hug, a gesture that seemed forced and so unnatural. Zynah stiffened visibly, caught off guard by Zaahida's over nicety. "Uhm...thank you," she managed, pulling back awkwardly.

And though she is almost drifting, a sweet and triumphant smile carves her lips. ****😊****

I don't have friends - I am not sure if that is something that I should be proud of. Well, it's not like I don't try to approach my classmates or try to interact. It’s just that I have a weird smile. No, it's not the type of smile that involves weird and rotten teeth - I have perfectly white and straight teeth. You see, my smile is fatal and dangerous. Just one look at these weapons and even the ferocious growl of a mountain lion would seem harmless. If this were a comic, I would call this attack: The Killer Smile.
