She sat down on the seat he stood up from. " Besides I needed some time off work," she said still smiling. I notice when she smiles, she does it with not just her mouth but all her face. When she smiles her eyes sparkle her puff cheek turns pink and the laugh line near her eyes becomes prominent. Her mood was brighter than the sun which made it contagious. I couldn't help smiling.

I wasn’t sure how long I’d been staring down at him, but I knew it was too long the moment I caught myself smiling. It wasn’t one of those polite, social smiles I offered strangers or casual acquaintances. No. This one was soft. Unfiltered.
