Red Wine for Breakfast

Red Wine for Breakfast

Gayle asked. “I wasn’t talking about the drink!” He winked at them. “God, my whole life just got turned upside-down and he’s making jokes.” “C’mon, Jenny. Lighten up. We have to think of a way to use this thing to your advantage. After all, it’s not like he broadcast you doin’ it.” “I wouldn’t put anything past that creep. Got a cigarette?” “I thought you quit.” “I did, but sometimes I light one just to protest all these new anti-smoking laws.”

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

"One more." The female zombie gave a sinister smile, pondered for a while, and then found her target. She took a step forward. This smoke was not only her best cover, but she could also easily reach any place in it. The next moment, she appeared in front of the young man who was touching his chin and thinking about where he was. Caspian had just dispersed spiritual Qi on his fingertip. "This smoke is not a formation. That is to say, I am not in a fantasy array." Caspian's finger slowly rubbed his chin.

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

The Ace at the Apex

The Ace at the Apex

Javier had no objection as he talked to Quinna about specific car issues before their conversation ended. Before they stepped out, Quinna asked Javier, “Why do you have so many ideas and get involved in everything? They’re related and connected too. It’s a business taboo. Didn’t Chad stop you?” “Why should he when we make money? He’s Chad, not Stop,” Javier answered. Quinna cleaned up the ashtray and deadpanned, “That’s not very funny.” Her father disallowed her from smoking, so she cleaned up the study room as much as possible after smoking in secret. She could make Javier the scapegoat and say that he was the one smoking, but she would not be able to explain the butts of the cigarette stai

No Divorce For Us, Mrs. Godfrey

No Divorce For Us, Mrs. Godfrey

“Smoked a cigarette.” He sounded so casual Mimi was sure there was no hole to be picked. She sighed in relief. Elias might have been provoking her before this, but he at least kept true to his words and let the cat stay in the bag. He did not expose her. Zeke was not at all suspicious, but he did frown in concern. “Thought you quit smoking, man. When did the vice make a comeback?”

He sighed and leaned against the counter beside him and threw one foot over the other. Could he for once not talk about her at least? Maybe if I told him I smoked too, he would find interest in me and find my plain eyes mesmerizing? Maybe find me fascinating? "I smoke too," He didn't look like he believed me. "But you sounded like you didn't like your friend smoking," "It's a cover up. I still smoke but she doesn't. I hid it from her because I didn't want her to go back to smoking." I replied. Before he could say a word, I asked him. "Hey, do you have a mate?"

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

Now I just had to figure out how I’d done it. My first thought was that the weed was responsible. Perhaps it contained some magical ingredient that allowed the smoker to do magic. But there was one flaw in this theory, which was Pitt. I had seen him do magic with the fish-calling, and he didn’t smoke. Then again, Nabbo was on his pipe pretty much 24/7, so there was always a cloud of smoke hanging over the platform. Second-hand smoke magic? It seemed a bit of a stretch.

Stowaway

I turn to Noah as I whisper. "We have to move now." He nods his head, although I see the fear in his eyes, I motion for mark to bring out the battering ram, as I pull out a smokescreen, the door is down in seconds, and I throw the smokescreen into the room, putting on my heat sensor goggles so I can see where the heat sources are.

She quickly hide the cigarettes and her son scoffed. “Welcome, my son,” she said and her son sniff the air. “Mother you are still smoking? How could you? Alpha's Hidden Precious Luna

Alpha's Hidden Precious Luna

The restroom at the back of the library was the one place without surveillance cameras—a fact Kevin had discovered during his meticulous planning of our meeting locations. After ensuring no one was watching, I pushed open the restroom door. Kevin leaned against the sink, a cigarette dangling from his lips despite the prominent "No Smoking" sign. His casual disregard for rules always amused me—a trait unexpected in the cousin of such a rigid, self-righteous Alpha. "You're going to set off the smoke detectors," I remarked, letting the door swing shut behind me. Kevin shrugged, taking another drag. "Disabled them twenty minutes ago. We've got fifteen before the system resets itself."
