It looked like something that should be hidden behind locked glass in a questionable bookstore aisle. I flipped it open anyway, because apparently I had no survival instincts left. "Please.. I cant-" I paused. Read it again. Then slowly looked up at him. “…I’m not reading this.” His eyebrow lifted. “You promised.” “This is not a book. This is—this is literal smut disguised as literature.” “Exactly,” he said, way too calm. I smacked the book against his arm. “Pervert.” “Reader,” he corrected immediately, like that was important. Then leaned back like he had all the time in the world. “Come on. We had a deal.” I stared at him.

I said, walking carefully around the room, studying her. The book she held in her hand looked like a romance that my mother read when I was small. She didn't move when my shadow fell over her, but jumped up when I snagged the book from her grasp. "Hey!" she shouted, jumping to reach it above my head. I turned my back toward her, and smiled at the page. "Reading smut, just as I thought," I said, lowering it so she could cradle it to her chest. "It's not smut. It's romance," she said, closing the book. "Not that I expect you to understand romance."

Suddenly, his ears turned a deep shade of red, and he quickly looked away, clearing his throat. Perplexed, I frowned. “What is it?” He handed the book back to me without meeting my gaze. “Nothing. Just... interesting choice.” Confused, I looked down at the book in my hands. My eyes widened in horror as I took in the image: a shirtless man with rippling muscles, a woman draped over him, their lips locked passionately. The bold title on the cover read: “Desire’s Embrace.” Instantly, I felt my face turn beet red. I’d purchased… a smut novel.

I will still write romance books but completely cut out the smut while also writing ml (I am a versatile author). I know some of you would really want to see passionate moments between our MCs, but I’ve done a lot of thinking and have chosen what I think is best for me. I know this may be a bummer, but the mental instability implementation smut writing has on me takes a negative toll on my health and I’m sorry.

by Damn, you can know how excited I was that at least I would be with this bitch who claims to be innocent. So here we are going through the books in the library to find a chosen topic. She was wearing her sunglasses, she took them off and unbuttoned her shirt, saying the library was hot, and her cleavage came into view. I lost my concentration fuck, it is too disturbing to keep staring at the cleavages, but I have to act as a man in her presence, so we move to the corner of the shelf where history books are stacked and rare to check.

“I love reading.” She narrowed her eyes. “You’re reading sex, aren’t you?” “Ew! God, no,” I shot back, trying not to laugh. “It’s a good book—with just a little smut.” “Mmm-hmm,” she hummed, amused. “Can I read it then?” “What? Hell no!” My cheeks flushed instantly. She tisked and shook her head. “You’re reading smut.” I groaned. “You’re so annoying.”

“I already finished the book you lent me. Can I borrow more?” “Sure, do you want the same romance, or do you want it to be different? Like smut?” she asked, her grin was so wide I could practically see all her teeth. “Smut?” The word felt odd on my tongue, so I tilted my head, genuinely puzzled. Not only did she look absolutely thrilled, but it was the first time I’d ever heard that word. For most of my life, the only books I’d read were about history or science. Novels were still a new territory.

Took me a long time to complete this one and I am very grateful to some of you who waited this long, those who commented and even drop vote, I can’t thank you all enough. As usual, I always like to update a book immediately after finishing one. But funnily enough, I already started one before this one ended. This book is a bit different from my style. It’s not the usual, billionaire, werewolf, single mom, rich kids and all. Drum rolling! Doooooooo! Dooooooo! It is a “SMUT BOOK.” I mean...Sex Book! You probably didn’t expect that right? Yeah but I am just trying to work out something new and fun for my readers. And I am hoping to do a great job on this one again. The title is—Dangerous Addict
