That day at Millea river, I had seen a strange tattoo at the back of that silver-haired neck; a wolf with a snake curled around it and a weird dagger piercing through both… so tiny and almost invisible. I hadn't noticed anything like that at the back of her neck, which meant only one thing. It was either new, or I hadn't just noticed it earlier. But what caught my attention wasn't the strange drawing, it was the snake in the drawing. It looked the same as the one trailing from my shoulder down to my wrist. If the snake at the back of her neck and the one on my arm looked the same, then there had to be a story behind it and I was searching for it.

Oh God, I've seen this tattoo so many times, but in this messed up state, I'm saying that I want to see it. “You... when did you get this tattoo?” I stared at the bird's eye on his back—the eagle and the snake. Chris had a tattoo of an eagle wrapped around a snake, so the two seemed to be competing to outdo each other. From a distance, I hadn't really noticed that there was a snake in this tattoo, but it turned out that the snake clutching the eagle looked very real when approached.
