I take in a fresh breath of air, loving how clean the oxygen feels up here.
Living away from the mountains has been dirtier than I thought, the air down there just feels thick, like it’s full of peoples hot breath and dirty pollution but up here, it’s thin and it smells clean.
Corbin unwraps a granola bar halfway and hands it to me.
“Thank you,” I tell him as I take it out of his hands.
It has dark chocolate, almonds, peanutes, and I can see the sweet sheen of honey.
This is going to be a good treat!
