The burly man bellowed angrily. Philip frowned and backed away. At the same time, he pointed the snow sword in his hand to the sky, where a white sword formation suddenly appeared. The drifting snowflakes froze in the sword formation and merged into snow swords. With destructive sword intent, the swords pierced through the air and stabbed the man on the ground like missiles! Buzz! One after another, the white snow sword energy blasted at the burly man’s attack! Boom! In an instant, a terrifying energy vortex storm engulfed this area!

"Félix, cover me!" I didn't wait for permission. I sprinted down the slope, my boots skidding on the blood-slicked snow. The violet light exploded from my hands, a shockwave of kinetic energy that cleared a path through the human ranks. I wasn't just pushing them; I was crushing them, the weight of the mountain behind every strike.

"We have about ten seconds before the rest of the trucks get down the ridge." I stumbled out of the SUV, my boots sinking into the fresh powder. The wind hit my face like a thousand tiny needles. I'd never been this cold in my entire life, not even close. My fingers went numb immediately, useless dead weights at the ends of my wrists. I watched Vane and Ronan strip out of their ruined clothes, their breath fogging in the frozen air. The shift wasn't majestic. It was gritty and violent, the sound of their bones breaking and reforming echoing over the howling wind. They hit the ground on four paws, massive and terrifying, their fur bristling against the blizzard.

I grabbed my helmet, my stick, and took a deep breath but as I moved toward the door, a shoulder suddenly slammed right into mine. Yasmine. She glared down at me with her face behind her helmet, “Don't mess this up, Trixie. If anything goes wrong out there, you know exactly whose fault it’s going to be.” I immediately shoved my shoulder right back into hers, hard enough to make her stumble a bit, and pulled my helmet over my head. “Watch where you're going, captain,” I muttered, marching past her. The moment I stepped out of the tunnel, the crowd and the lights hit me, completely overwhelming my senses. My head spun for a second as the volume of the roaring fans washed over me, and I got bum

She leaned so close to the table that her nose almost touched it, as if staring hard enough could force the machine back to life. Griffin’s face darkened until it looked like a storm cloud ready to burst. “Ms. Shaw, did you not guarantee delivery by the beginning of next month?” he snapped. “This is the result you are giving me?” One of Griffin’s staff members stepped forward. “Mr. Foster, the storage equipment appears to have been without power for quite some time. “If we calculate based on the outage duration, the drug has most likely already deactivated.” Griffin’s anger flared even harder.

*Part 1: High Passes – 3:00 AM, Windcut Ridge* Snow came sideways. Kade pulled his cloak tighter and kept his nose to the ground. The woman’s tracks were faint now, half-filled by wind, but still there. Steady. Unhurried. Ryn moved beside him, blade sheathed but hand on the hilt. “She’s not cold,” Ryn said quietly. “Not human cold. No shivering. No slowing down.”

Lucas looked at the Snowy Lady and his face remained composed. “You’re thinking of stopping me?” Lucas stared at the Snowy Lady. Snowy Lady did not answer but just nodded her head. No words were needed to describe the scene. Swoosh! Lucas lifted the Immemorial Dragon Sword and slashed with it, and the top-notch sword rays charged toward the Snowy Lady. The face of the Snowy Lady remained composed and expressionless. She waved her hand and the top-notch sword rays were gone.

My fingers are on my chin as I crouched and looked at it. The cover or the sheath was silver with a few pints of gold, I don't understand the engravings etched on it. Because of my curiosity, I held it and released it from its sheath. Unlike other sword, its blade was bluish and silver, the handle was wood in color and the cover was glass. It was not as heavy as it look. I lifted it up and swayed it... Imagining I was a samurai fighting some bad guys. I chuckled.

The moment the door opened, a rush of cold air swept in, sharp and biting, pulling me out of the warm comfort of the carriage. The snow crunched beneath our boots, soft and deceptively deep, swallowing half of my calf as I stepped down from the carriage. I winced at the sudden bite of cold sinking through the thin soles of my shoes, the hem of my borrowed cloak dragging damp behind me. Ingrid was already striding forward with that same purposeful determination she wore like perfume, and Lena fell in beside her, brushing off snowflakes from the shoulder of her velvet wrap. I lingered a step behind.

* Zeina * The wind howled low across the Western Fortress, slipping through stone walls and catching in the high towers like a breath withheld. Snow swirled through the courtyard, fine as powdered silver, settling across the training grounds I refused to abandon. Each flake melted the moment it touched my skin, steaming against the fire that simmered just beneath the surface. I stood barefoot in the snow, the cold biting at my toes, grounding me in the moment. Around me, my warriors moved like shadows, barking commands, panting with effort.
