Despite our differences, despite some moments where we saw each other thinking differently, we always found a way to be okay, and she has been a pillar for me. Because of her I have been able to face many things of fate and today I realize that you value that person more when you are not close to them, so you miss them more. I was once far away from her, now she sees more distance between us again and how she tells me she feels the gap. It's like a snake leaving its venom on the skin, the wound hurts and deepens like the pain I feel when I feel and touch the distance from it, although I try to resist and not see myself completely thrown into perdition. It's hard. Who said it would be easy?

At the distance between what this place had been and what it was becoming. Not there yet. Not nearly. But facing the right direction. Every day a little further into the honest ground.

'Is that she doesn't want him to see her? No, that doesn't follow. Is she... dead?' "Is she... dead?" I blurted, twisting the strap of my bag.

"I've always tried to show you how I'm deeply in love with you, but somehow, you keep moving further away from me." Further away? What was he talking about?

Just like my first love. He was also nice, attentive and calm. We complimented each other but, I guess we're not meant to be. That's life. The moment you perfect with someone, they just grow distant. You'll wanna go crazy but they'll be fine.

"The closeness I want is not just like this," Beatrice smiled faintly. "But... truly close, not only through touch but also in the heart." She brought her hand closer to his chest, where his rhythmic heartbeat indicated that its owner was alive and that every nerve was stimulated by their proximity. "Closeness in the heart as well."

I felt like magnets, like I'm attracted and I couldn't stop it even if I tried. The gap was closing. It kept getting thinner . Two feet. One foot. Just a few inches. My breath caught. We were so fucking close. I could see him. I could see how bad I wanted him.
