I asked, unable to mask the jealousy in my tone.
“Are you in sane John? Why would I still like the man that killed my un….” she stopped, looking for the right word to complete her sentence.
“Killed you what?” I asked, anxiously.
She lowered her gaze. I felt she was trying to hide something from me.
“He killed my desire for love. He killed my happiness,” she said as tears streamed from her face.
“It's alright, you know I don't like seeing you crying,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Still, I was not convinced. There was something she wasn't telling me, but I didn't want to push it.
