the soldier replied, sounding a little confused. “Are you sure? Are you sure that it’s the town of the Amber Leaves?” I asked again. “Yes…I spent almost a week there, so I’m pretty sure…” the soldier replied. “What is happening there?” I asked as panic gripped me. “We soldiers don’t know much about politics but for sure a war has broken out there. We’ve been fighting there for more than a week now. I was part of the second wave of reinforcements…” the soldier replied. War?! In my town?! How can this be happening?!

Everyone got silent as a man she saw that Matt followed behind, he climbed up on the makeshift stage and gave a speech. “Thank you, everyone for coming tonight for this occasion. As all know the evening will start with promoting ranks of soldiers who earned and were selfless and courageous in the battlefield. Soldiers who worked long and hard to earn the positions that are now to be given to them as in acknowledge and approval for all their hard work and actions they have done to protect us and our country and their brothers on the field.

He quickly knelt and begged for mercy. "It's my fault, please spare me my life." If he hadn't wanted to please the alluring girl, he wouldn't have let her go so easily.

The leader was wearing a mask, holding a red spear, and dressed in a red cloak. "Commander?" It was their commander! The young soldier was overjoyed, crawling to his feet and shouting, "Stanley is here! He hasn't abandoned us! He's come to save us!" Jane unsheathed her spear, her tone merciless. "Kill them."

I smiled “I hear you are not interested in talking. I thought maybe I could change your mind.” He laughed “that asshole and his sister already tried to break me, I won’t say a word.” I had my suspicion who was targeting me and I hoped I could get the soldier to confirm it. He had showed me his tell when I came in, I just had to study his face for any signs. “That’s too bad, I was really hoping you would confirm what that rogue has been saying. She has been extremely helpful.” The soldier looked at me with disgust “that bitch is full of shit.”

His body shook as a dark stain spread across his trousers. The soldier’s patience snapped. With a swift motion, he raised his shotgun, the barrel cold against the man’s forehead. “Please, no! I swear I don’t—” A deafening blast echoed through the alley. Blood splattered across the wall as the man crumpled to the ground, lifeless. “Coward,” the soldier muttered, reloading his weapon. The soldiers kicked down doors, dragging frightened residents into the streets. Screams echoed through the air as homes were ransacked, families torn apart. The streets became a war zone.

He stated, showing his whites. "The pleasure is mine," I raised the corner of my lips again as I took in my right palm inside my pocket, waiting for him to get that person. "What's with our soldier?" I asked after discovering who the person was. The person is our soldier, and he is currently tied up now, all over his body, as well as his mouth, not allowing him to scream for help. "Well, he is a traitor," General Asva answered me as I scan the soldier's body and face.
