"AAHHHHH!" My subconscious shattered into two. My scream filled both dimensions as Tiger nearly shattered everything inside me. I melted, staying awake in his embrace. "You can never come back, Artemisya." I succeeded. Tiger kissed my forehead. "Come on," he whispered softly. "We're going back now."

I froze for a moment and shot around, “Daughter…?” She nodded, “I want to bless you both. I have someone extraordinary planned for her. Your daughter,” “Nuray.” I cut her off, “Her name is Nuray.” She smiled, “Nuray will be a great she-wolf, a powerful wolf.” I thought for a moment, my husband is a Beta; does this mean that she’ll be with an Alpha? Lorenzo knew that Artemis could never go against his mother’s word if she would say something strictly. It was also true that this stupid bride was his mother’s choice, but it was just to awaken the man inside him who died a long ago. And also in the hope of finding a second chance mate of him.

He saw her fear and he didn't need to be told another word. He reached for her and hugged her tightly to himself. "It's going to be-" a soft whimper escaped him as his heat rose inside of him. He shifted in their hug and his mother noticed his discomfort. "It hurts." He whispered. Sweat poured down his face and he wrapped his arms around his chest to keep the shivering to a minimum. "Go, I'm sending the moon with you." Artemis stopped abruptly as if lost in thought then added. "I can't believe I'll have to watch them devour my own SON." This had Artemis laughing and Phoenix joined in even with the pain he felt.

Everyone stood up and bowed. It is the first time since the beginning of the new world that the son of the Sun has appeared. Luna stood up and extended her hand toward Kira. "My name is Luna Almazan. I have been blessed by the power of Mayari. I am named the daughter of the moon. It is indeed a pleasure to finally meet you." Luna smiled. "I am Kira Brown. I have received your invitation. My mother had been a strong believer in the god and goddess. I am honored to be worthy of Apolaki's blessing." Kira smiled back

I take a step closer since I can clearly hear Damian just on the other side of the door. “I don’t understand Jess, how is this a bad thing? Isn’t this what you’ve been longing for? To find your mate?” I stand stunned by his side of the conversation. He must be right by the door, keeping her from running back to her apartment about a quarter mile north of the north end of the pack house. “I do, I want my mate especially since I’ve always been told that without a birth rank the moon goddess would never give me one but…” I can hear her sobbing clearly a foot away from the door but when she speaks again her voice is muffled by her closeness to my son.

She announces with such great authority laced into her voice, that no creature could dare disobey such a command. Usually the nurses would refuse, perhaps even laugh at the ridiculous suggestion, with the baby only being a minute old, but the mother is no normal being. She is Artemis, Goddess of the Moon. Manipulating a human's mind is as easy as slicing a sharp knife through hot butter for her. In moments, the nurses and the baby's father have vacated the room, allowing her to be at peace with the bundle of joy cocooned in her arms. With dread, Artemis tries not to ponder on the fact that she soon has to leave. Three years.

She only wishes her mate would appreciate her too, like everybody does. "Lux Irene! My favorite cousin! I brought you feverfew flowers. Look!" Felix who just came in, shoved a bunch of white and yellow flowers at Irene's face. Her face reddened at Felix' booming voice. A few new faces glanced back at them. Felix is Alpha Vincent's son who won the Alpha Games when he was just 14 years old. He has a split personality. One moment he is playful, the next moment he is all serious and mysterious.

I must have made a face or something because when I looked at her, she was giving me a weird look. “Anyway, I guess the first thing I should tell you is that I am Artemis. I am the Goddess of the Hunt; my father is Zeus.” She spoke. “Wait, if you are Zeus’s daughter, then why are you wanting me to go after Selene? Isn’t she your sister?” I asked.

Artemis said as she waved her hand to her left. Not even a moment later, Cosmo and Ryleigh appeared beside her. They were both tied up, with chains wrapped around their wrists. Hunter couldn’t hold me back this time when I tried rushing forward. In a blink of an eye, I stood before my daughter, pulling her toward me. “Aw, how sweet. You almost want to make me want a daughter of my own.” Artemis sighed. “Not!” She roared as she returned to dancing around Caleb’s body.
