As she stepped onto the festival grounds, her breath caught. All around her, the clearing was alive with vibrant colors and decorations. Strands of lights draped between trees, their warm golden glow illuminating the space like starlight caught in branches. The air was thick with the spicy-sweet scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh pine resin, and soft drumming pulsed in the distance, the beat low and primal, echoing through her chest like a heartbeat. Every sound, every movement seemed to fall into rhythm with the beat, as if the Blood-Moon itself was alive and calling to them.

A way for my pack to show off their female population. My eyes scanned the crowd but neither really saw through the mass of bodies nor heard far due to the music blaring from the speakers. The fairy lights covering the pillars and the railings were eye-catching but what stood at the spotlight was the moon. I might have forgotten it was a full moon night today. How magnificent it felt, to be under the moonlight that seeped through the clouds, falling on us from time to time. A male gestured me over, and despite my nerves, I approached him with a curtsy when I sensed the power coming from him. He smelt of gamma blood, a third in command or the warrior wolf.

The moonless sky above Ember Hollow rippled with violet light as Vera Moonlock stepped into the stellar chamber’s central circle. The obsidian circlet—woven with resonance crystals and dream-silk—rested on the dais. Around her stood Lucien, Orion, Selene, and the core strike captains, each cradling instruments of psychic warfare: crystalline blades, psionic disruptors, dream-silk grenades. Selene raised her staff, its carved rune glowing silver. “Tonight, the constellations align. The Starfall comets will streak across the sky in a narrow arc. We have minutes to attune the crown—then every hybrid soul across the empire will receive the waking song.”

“Luna…” Her heart jumped. She turned quickly. “Did you hear that?” Kael nodded slowly. “The Whispering Moon,” he said. Luna blinked. “The what?” He looked up at the sky again. Above them, the largest of the twenty moons glowed brighter than the others. Its light shimmered strangely, almost like ripples across water. “That moon,” Kael said, pointing upward, “speaks to those connected to the Veil.” Luna felt a chill crawl down her spine.

He settled into a long vigil, determined to be there for Kaerlia every step of the way on her journey to recovery, no matter how long it took. ~~~ The Moon Palace was a breathtaking sight to behold. Their blossoms were shy things, unfurling only beneath lunar light, their petals glowing pearlescent white. Her fingers brushed their cool edges, silver magic streaming gently from her skin to wake them. Normally the spell came as easily as breath, but tonight the light sputtered. The glow dimmed, stuttering as though the moon itself had faltered.

Zelena. Lupus led me down the porch and out into the clearing. Strings of white lanterns hung from one side of the clearing to the other, filling the space with beautiful glowing lights. A red carpet had been laid out from the bottom of the porch, all the way to the stage, making me feel like some kind of movie star. The crowd of Weres was huge. Must be double the size of Tri-Moon. They gathered on either side of the carpet, bunching in together to get as close as they could to the stage. As we walked through the middle of them, they knelt to their knee with their heads bowed and one hand over their heart. It was deathly silent, with only the sound of my thumping heart filling my ears.

After a while when the room was completely , the white witch spoke in a cold voice , " Witches and Wizards the day has arrived .The day we waited for years . Tonight is special more than any other night . Tonight exactly when the other day stars the curse is about to be broken . The moon princess will posses her powers , her power are a threat to the whole world . But our coven is proud to make sure she doesn't learn to use them , she won't until she reaches the place she belongs to , the moon . I ignored her and focused on the cheering Tarragons calling our names. Cygnus raised his hand, and the crowd fell silent. He gave a speech, though I didn’t pay much attention because my eyes were locked on the three moons in front of us. I gripped Izar’s hand tightly, and he pulled me closer. I giggled slightly and leaned into him. After Cygnus’ speech, everyone applauded and started singing a Tarragon song while gazing up at the moons. I could see the third moon gradually becoming full, and after almost half an hour, everyone screamed and clapped again as all three moons finally became full. I could feel my wolf basking in the moonlight, but she remained calm.

I can feel the unity of the she-wolves and their happiness, an assurance that they've truly accepted me as their Luna. After an hour or so, we stop by the lake to take a drink. I climb up a rock which enables me to have a good view of everyone. When I have everyone's attention, I howl to the full moon up above. I sing a song of gratefulness. The moon goddess should hear me with this sincerity right? Everyone joins me in singing and I can feel the goosebumps making my fur stand straight. It is the prettiest sound. Surely now, the moon goddess will hear right?
