The Words Book Novels & Stories

As soon as I open the book and try to read the first sentence, my head starts to ache. All the words pour out of the book and start to float in the air while some start to crawl around the mess on my bed like spiders. Everything seems jumbled, puzzled and the letters dance in front of my eyes, leaving their words, messing the sentences. They daunt me, they haunt me. They tease me because I can’t catch them and put them on right places so that they could make sense to me. The ’d’s and the ’b’s look so confusing. I can’t tell them apart. To me, they appear the same. I see the words leave the book, leaving the page empty and run around for me to catch them.

I leaned in,my voice jovial as I spoke to Eric while seated at the table "I mean, have you ever noticed how some words just sound wrong when you say them out loud? Like 'Chthonic ' or ‘Cacophony'?" Eric chuckled, nodding in agreement. "Totally! And don't even get me started on 'phlegm'." I giggled. "Right? It's like our brains are lying to us or something" As we laughed, Eric pointed to the bookshelf behind us. "Speaking of weird words, have you seen the title of the author's latest book? 'A Whispering Wisteria'?" "Ooh, that sounds interesting! I love wisteria, it's such a hidden gem. And that title is bomb! Makes me want to flip through the pages so badly”

he asked with furrowed brows and suspecting eyes. "This is called intra librum, literally means inside the book. Here you can enter the world of the book and experience it first hand," His eyes suddenly glistened, his mouth opened while turning around—the same expression when he first toured the meadows of Pixie Realm. "You mean to say I can enter a book from here?" "Yes, that's what I said," Doom excitedly scanned the book titles. He kept on asking me if I was telling the truth or just pranking him. He asked several questions about how it worked and the likes. He finally grabbed a copy of the book he wanted to enter.

I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use.
