I separated from him to wipe my tears with my palm, but not enough because my eye is still releasing something. "Damn it, Duex, I don't want to cry." I tried to look up while biting my lip, but it just ended in a sob. I feel so devastated. I walked out of the meeting room, leaving behind a chorus of despair and panic. Some cried, "No, Ms. Cooper!" while others shouted, "This is all your fault, Keira!" A full-blown internal conflict had erupted, triggered by the fear of losing their paychecks. I returned to my office and locked the door. He was slowly getting up as the rats which had covered some part of his body scattered off him. His lively, bright eyes had turned dull, almost like mine. “I’m sorry” I cried. “I’m so sorry, sorry” “NO!” he yelled in anger, causing the whole room to shake. I rapidly covered my ears still in tears. “I’m sorry!”

"I don't even know what I'm doing anymore." Sebastian, having held up his walls for months, finally lets them crash down. He begins to cry; he begins to weep. At first, he's too proud to let me see him cry, so he covers his eyes with his hand as the pained sounds escape his chest. All I can manage to do is sit next to him and let him cry. But I want to do more. I need to do more.

My screams grow louder, filling the silence, as my heart pounds ferociously in my chest. My throat burns from the tears and the raw screams that escape me, and in that moment, I realize I have more tears inside me than words to express my pain. So, I cry. I cry until my eyes feel heavy and no more tears can flow. I’m not just crying for Richie; I’m crying for myself, for my dad, and for every single thing that has been weighing heavily on my heart.
