The Mafia’s Reckoning

The Mafia’s Reckoning

Next, the world was spinning, and her fingers were clawing into the armrests, trying to anchor herself to reality. Alex stood nearby, tense and still. He hadn’t touched her since the courier delivered the letter. He knew better. He could sense—somehow—that this wasn’t a moment for orders or protection. It was something more fragile than that. Something holy. Something haunted. Sophia finally broke the seal. Inside were three things: 1. A photograph. Blurry, old, but unmistakable—a young Sophia, no more than four years old, held in the arms of a woman with striking silver eyes and a scar that ran from temple to jaw.

The Third Book

The Third Book

Cela just smiled. The viewing starts in a few minutes. Everyone gets ready to take their seats. Almost everyone came except for Nate. Good thing, Lora didn’t tell Cela about her invitation. It was supposed to be a surprise for her but fate surely has a different plan for the night. A mix of emotions sweeps the viewers of the TV adaptation of the book. It’s the last of the three in the series and it’s quite different from the first two stories that were carefully planned.

MY WEREWOLF DESTINY

MY WEREWOLF DESTINY

"You want to draw more attention to her-to give the rest even more cause to question her? I bit back a retort, my jaw clenched. She was right and that was all there was to it, no matter how much the admission rankled me. --- The great doors of the inner sanctum creaked open. All eyes swung toward them as Xavier and Sophia emerged, closely followed by the Moon Goddess Virgin. Sophia was white but composed, her eyes glassy, her regard apparently elsewhere; Xavier betrayed strain, his jaw clenched, his gaze flashing challenge in silent defiance at faces around them. "What happened?" someone whispered, but no one dared push forward to take a closer look. As they swept past them, Sophia's eyes fl

The Third Shadow

The Third Shadow

On our wedding night, my wife, who almost never drank, got wasted because she was supposedly too happy. Just when I didn't know what to do, my best friend sent me a long message explaining how to take care of her. I blushed, but I still followed his instructions and soothed her the way he described. Natalie, who had been making a scene, miraculously quieted down. But just as I was about to call my friend and thank him, Natalie suddenly hugged me from behind. Heartbroken, she whispered, "Ashton Hawke, you're the one I wanted to marry." As she said it, the tattoo near her heart slipped into view: a hawk with its wings spread wide. My mind went blank. Ashton Hawke was my best friend of

Third Eye P.I.

Third Eye P.I.

"I told you it would end last night." "Daniel." Cassie didn't even know where to begin. "Can I please talk with you, in private?" He nodded and followed her back to the house. She poured them both coffees, and they sat at the kitchen table. "How did you know?" Cassie asked point blank. "You already know the answer." He shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "Yes, I know you have a gift. But how? What is your gift?" "I can see things. A third eye, if you will. I have dreams of the future, and I don't have any control over when or how they come to me, but once I have the dream, I seem to know all the details."

The First Female Alpha at the All-Boys Academy

The First Female Alpha at the All-Boys Academy

“Yup!” I said. “Just remember you’re undercover.” “Rilea Blueheart and the illusive Magdelana Wolfersham are reporting for duty,” she saluted me through the glowing purple orb. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, weirdo,” I said. “See you then.” Sophia blew me a kiss and the purple orb shimmered down to the size of a bug before whizzing out of the window in the middle of my room. I huffed and threw myself back into my bed. I sniffed my arm pit and cringed. I smelled terrible.

Three Days Before the Styx

stabbed me like a knife. "After all, Elara was a priestess in the Underworld Temple. She knows the ritual details best," he continued. His tone was flat. Sierra giggled. "Madam Elena, Ethan told me everything. Elara cheated. But they were young. Mistakes happen." "Honestly, I should thank her." Her voice dripped with sweet venom. "If she hadn't made the smart choice back then, how would I have met an amazing god like Ethan?" "After all," Sierra paused, making her point clear. "She chased the sun. Now I get the king of the dark."

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

As Sophia thought about that, her expression changed. She thought to herself, 'Even if I fall into hell, I will drag Stella down with me!' Just as Keegan and the major shareholders were at a standoff, Sophia suddenly spoke up loudly. "Everyone, I know who did this today! I know who wanted to smear the image of the Vinci Rivera Group!" Keegan's expression darkened. He said, "Aldor, get her out of here." Sophia had already made up her mind to burn her bridges. "It's Stella! She's the culprit. She put those contents on the USB drive," said Sophia while struggling.

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now

What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming

Their Human

Their Human

I was still looking at the woman with strange red eyes, something about her made me feel another level of discomfort. "I'm Sapphire, the second wife of Goliath." She told me. Her voice was seductive. It sounded like she was inviting me to her bed even though she didn't exactly say that. I nodded slowly, "It's nice to meet you, all of you. Thank you for having me here." I said, looking at everyone. There was a fourth person there, who had been quiet this whole time. It was a teenage boy, who had not once looked in my direction. He also had matte black hair, pale skin and glowing red eyes.
