The make ghost tilted his head towards Skye and opened his mouth. "Is she a Shadowsoul descendent," it asked me in a bone chilling tone that rattled the nerves. I nodded and told him her grandmother was Evanore Shadowsoul. The spectral nodded and asked me what I needed. I explained what I wanted and he told me to give him a day's time and he vanished completely before I could ask his name.

“Of course I am.” Azxel felt his whole body heat again. Sky’s hand squeezed his thigh once, slow and firm. “Eat,” Sky ordered. “Then you’re coming with me.” Azxel swallowed. “Where?” Sky smiled. A slow, dangerous smile. “A surprise.” Sky stood up, lifting Azxel with him like he weighed nothing, one arm hooked under Azxel’s thighs. Azxel’s feet dangled uselessly. People stared harder now with their mouths wide open, some raised their phones up hidden, then lowered again when Sky’s eyes flicked toward them.

Then, he poured his Origin Power into his Evil-Splitting Sword before swinging it at the Sky Demon’s neck. A red light flashed, and the Sky Demon’s head instantly separated from his body. Decapitation was not fatal to the Sky Demons. They could recover after consuming some energy. Generally speaking, it would take at least three fatal attacks to truly kill a Sky Demon. However, this time was different. A mysterious force was preventing the Sky Demon from recovering, and he could not recover even after exhausting his energy. A corpse the size of a mountain fell to the ground. David managed to get his first kill.

After all, now that they had passed on in peace, they wouldn’t end up turning into evil spirits… Either way, now that they were gone, Gerald drew the Astrabyss Sword before starting to mutter some odd incantations… The spell Gerald was chanting was known as Soul Eater, and casting it enabled him to completely exterminate villainous spirits. As Gerald had earlier said, any spirits caught within the punishing spell wouldn’t be able to be reincarnated… While Gerald rarely used the spell, he knew he had to use it on the dead Soul Hunters. After all, they deserved this punishment, and Gerald wasn’t about to let them die in peace and escape judgment.

Shadows were pouring from the vortex at the top of the tower—shrieking, translucent shapes that looked like Sarah, like the Bone King, like every trauma we had ever faced. They were the "Soul-Eaters" of the Void, drawn to the chaos of the Inversion like moths to a flame. "Killian, take the secondary controls," I commanded, my voice the cold iron of a Queen. "We can't land this thing in the streets. We have to hit the Spire directly. We cut the head off the snake before the body can coil."

Elena stopped a few feet from us looking around uneasily. " I scouted the area, looks fine but something's off." " Is there something wrong? We're sure they would be here and from our location, no passerby would suspect us." Mike replied but she shook her head and looked as if she wanted to say something but decided not to. " You're probably right." She said instead. " So what's our next plan?" she asked looking from me to Mike. " Dan, one of our men whose also our IT man would track down our mole and pinpoint their exact location while we get ready to sneak up on them, get what we want and get out of there hopefully without anyone noticing us." I replied this time.

And since when did you lure The8’s thinking? I wonder what did you even do to him?” she asked upon sighting The8 who was standing meters away from them, but he wasn’t moving. It was like he was just a design, a lifeless design who seemed to have completely lost its mechanism. “I just told him

Right now she is fighting a beast called Cerberus, it is a giant 3 headed dog, they are strong creatures but they are not rare individuals, unlike unicorns or phoenixes and faes.

“Alright,” Blackie shrugged, “As I said, we used Soul Coupling as a reference to create a new soul-based, multiversal racial characteristic for worldborn. Basically, we gave your soul an ability to… uh… interact with other souls in a special way… which kinda made you into a eunuch,” Blackie laughed awkwardly, “but otherwise it is very handy! I guarantee that in the future, you’ll totally love it!”

It roared. Avery stepped through the tear and staggered, nearly buckling under the sheer noise of it. The sky overhead was swollen purple, pulsing like a storm cloud. Below it stretched a city built from shadow and stone: towers carved from bone, bridges of glass that spanned bottomless pits, streets alive with endless whispers. The air was thick with them—thousands of voices, too faint to make out, weaving into a constant hiss. “Souls,” the reaper said, walking ahead without pause. “What’s left of them, anyway.
