My Beta, Jeremy replied with a hint of surprise in his voice. “And who the hell is this…Felicia??” I asked, completely oblivious of who the bearer of the name was. “Typical you, only you will forget the name of the person you are about to get mated to,” I could hear the sarcasm dripping off his words but I chose to ignore it. “Felicia is your future mate Alpha! You should have at least tried to memorise her name; it was written in the journal I dropped on your table. But anyway, why are you asking about that suddenly, and where the hell are you??”

She resumed in scolding me, but my mind wandered elsewhere. It was easy for her to accept all of this. My older brother, who is also her boyfriend, is also her mate. They’ve been in love since high school. It wasn’t so hard to accept the mate bond when it was the person you were in love to begin with. I, on the other hand, will probably be mated with a complete stranger, which terrifies and irks me at the same degree. I shook my head and groaned, “This is a disaster. I can’t do it.”

In the heat of the moment, I grab Genelia's arm and pull her away from the situation and as far as I can get. "S-Sam? What just happened?" She freaks. "I don't know." I flip through pages looking for an answer. I find a chapter called: Double Soulmates, I begin to read. Double soulmates are when the Moon Goddess sets a mate out for you but something interferes with her plan and she gives a do-over mate. In situations like these, the original mate will end up dying at the hand of the newly found mate. I stop there. Holy crap.
