"Samantha Wood, you're suspected of murder, and you're under arrest." With both knees on the ground, Samantha gradually raised her head, her voice calm. "I've been diagnosed with a mental illness. I'll be sent to the hospital even if you arrest me, and I'll be released after a few years." After a momentary pause, she cast her gaze upon Charles. "And Natalie? She will never come back."

She was perfectly fine just a moment ago! She wouldn't leave me like this. She wouldn't!"

I gave her a small smile. " I saw Mofe walking out, is all good?" I nod. "She went to the bathroom". "Okay, then, I'll be back soon". I nod and out my airpods on, my phone dinged. I clicked on the album by Joeboy that Tochi shared with me on Spotify. The beat flooded my ears making me a sudden saccharine rush. I felt a sudden relieve something i haven't felt in totality since that night after socials but that was soon gone when from the wall facing me emerged Lola's ghost. I stride back into the living room with a lot of thoughts in my head. My mind is everywhere. With his presence, I'm not in myself. I'm completely crazy and cannot think, breathe, or speak clearly. Am I losing my mind? Should I visit a psychiatrist now? I can't bear to have another illness.

Blood clouded my vision, and sharp pain stabbed my head. Elias had a gash on his forehead, blood streaming down in a steady flow, but he seemed oblivious to the pain, straining to lift me up. Maybe the court would go easy on him. Reality hit him hard. A year and a half in prison meant a permanent stain on his life. We both may be crazy. Entering into the small coffee shop, we take a seat and give the waitress our orders. The man doesn’t speak until our orders arrive. “So,” I say when the waitress leaves. The man grins, chuckling softly. “Well I see you’re not one for chit chat,” he says, amusement again on his face. “Good news is you’re not insane. The bad news is all that you think is a hallucination isn’t. It did happen. Last night you did see your body contort into something else until you blacked out from the trauma, pain, and the beast taking over.”
