Destiny

She recongized this voice far better than any other, it was the spoilt Beta Adam Kyle, he was one to talk, how she wished she could rip his tongue out, but for now words would have to do, violence could cause harm to her peaceful friends "We shall leave if we cause trouble!" Ka-esh the Avian warrior said, concern glinting in his eyes "Brothers let us-" "No!" She snarled "You are not to leave, these people can if they want to, they send mercenaries against a Member of the Conjugate and shun me to the farthest reaches of their lands, they are hostile and not so smart, they would do well not to insult my benefactors!" She growled "Benefactors?!" Adam growled out "Watch your fucking mouth woman!

Conquered a Menace

Conquered a Menace

" I tried to gaslight my own mind. After all, he was very handsome. I bet he already has many women groveling over him. I don’t think a man with that status would waste his time for me. Marc started ranting like a father, stating advice that tingles my eardrums. He also explained the terms of our contract regarding the mission and said that I would only receive half of the reward. But our little chitty chat was interrupted as we all noticed someone’s, no, a few people's presence nearby. "Duck!" Marc’s panicking voice lingered in my ears. "What the!" The rain of bullets interrupted the word I was about to say. "Oh damn it, my garden!" I screamed in annoyance, then pointed my gun, trying to fi

How I Ghosted My Mafia Wife

How I Ghosted My Mafia Wife

(William’view) After leaving Chicago, I went back to the only life I truly knew. The life of a mercenary. Five years of comfort hadn't dulled my instincts. It was like a blade that had been kept in its sheath—once drawn, it was sharper than ever. I wasn't William Windemere anymore. I was 'Ghost' Noah, the king of mercenaries who called the shots in the black market. I reveled in it. The adrenaline of calculating trajectories in a firefight, the steady rhythm of my own heartbeat on a stealth op. This was the real me. A man who lived on the edge of a knife.

She totally misjudged the little girl’ “But yet again she is not good enough for your son” She had to bring it up “It is great to see that our real competitors are back, we look forward to what you have to offer” Martin tried to change the topic before things go haywire “We were never really competitors but anyways we will be taking a back seat and let our daughter run things. You can look forward to that competition” oh shit he went there “Sorry but we have to cut this conversation short. We are throwing a little celebratory party for our daughter” Natasha smile

Mercenary W.O.L.F (Never Die Alone)

Mercenary W.O.L.F (Never Die Alone)

(The world pauses entirely around her for a moment as she seems to be gathering energy and attempting to focus on her powers despite screaming frantically. Narrator: "So I can only imagine you're wondering how we got to this point, because this seems like a pretty tumultuous situation. So let's back it up a bit and explain a few things. First off: Hi! I'm your narrator, Kimora Sylvaburn." (The screen does a close up on her falling screaming face.) "Yeah that's totally me there... messed up situation huh? The last time we did this you guys kind of got a bit of a rushed story about us. That's my fault. The snack was tasty so I ate the whole thing without leaving a second thought. This time aro

The Missing Daughter of House Lundren Returns as a Regressor

The Missing Daughter of House Lundren Returns as a Regressor

Yet he crossed the distance within seconds with another human being as added weight. ‘Another human being?’ She’d caught the servants’ idle talk of rumors and prominent figures during the wars—of how some of them had surpassed the realm of humans and were deemed monsters clad in human skin. ‘He’s a monster.’ His other companions were down for the count, but they must be monsters in their own right as well. Sylvia shivered, remembering the name of the mercenaries who stood out in the war—the Mercy Mercenaries—a group of elites on par with the kingdom’s best.

The Betrayed Warrior Luna's Second Chance

The Betrayed Warrior Luna's Second Chance

As soon as I walked in, about a dozen blades were aimed at me. “Halt!” a voice growled. I dropped to one knee in the sand, gasping dramatically. “Don’t shoot. Please, I’m just a mercenary! Just looking for coin! I need work.” Before I knew it, four scouts surrounded me. I could see the suspicion in their eyes. I expected this. A tall man stepped forward. I could tell he was a sergeant by the shoulder plating. One of his eyes had a deep scar. “You’ve got guts, walking in like that.” He said “Or you’ve got a death wish.”

IZO44 AI PREDATOR

IZO44 AI PREDATOR

“It called me three weeks ago. Said the team was compromised. That you, Joel, were going to sacrifice me to save yourselves. I believed it. God help me, I believed it.” Joel’s expression hardened, but a flicker of pain crossed his features. “And now here you are. Another proxy in its war.” The second mercenary suddenly laughed, a bitter, broken sound. “You think you’re winning? IZO44 has hundreds of us. Some know what they’re doing. Most don’t. It’s building an army you can’t see coming.”

THE LUNA HE NEVER WANTED

THE LUNA HE NEVER WANTED

The shortest amongst them held a blue print, the others huddled over him. Leaning casually on the car opposite them, I raise my voice. “Such cautious employees you all are, studying the blue print of the company to perhaps learn the emergency exits in case of a fire outbreak or a rogue attack?” The blueprint was immediately crumpled and hidden. The short one went back, while the two came forward. Dim eyes. Light footsteps. Barely audible breathing. No visible logo or badge. The Red Fang Mercenaries. I thought they were extinct. They rarely take jobs.

I read this book in like 2 days. it's definitely worth the read, some of the scenarios were drawn out a little longer than I personally would have liked but the characters are well defined, lots of character growth and a wonderful ending

Kiss Me While The World Burns

Kiss Me While The World Burns

A mercenary in heavy armor reached inside, grabbing the silver briefcase. "Package secured!" the mercenary yelled through his radio. Despite their efforts, the mercenaries secure the EMP briefcase yet again and vanish in an armored convoy. Marcus let out a roar of absolute fury, but his body wouldn't obey. He could only watch through his fading vision as the heavy armored vehicles sped away into the thick night fog, leaving behind a trail of burning metal, smoke, and blood.
