Talia asked, Serena looked over at Adrian, who nodded and told her it was fine. "All right, you can do the spell," Serena said quickly before changing her mind. "Okay, you're going to feel some pain, but it'll be over before you know it." Taila reassured her before taking a step backward, and a small book appeared from nowhere and fell into Talia's hand. Serena remained motionless as Talia prepared to cast the spell. "Are you ready?" Talia inquired. "Yes, just get it done." It looked dark at first, but when it caught the light, I saw faint lines of deep blue running through it, like night holding lightning under its skin. Spiro held it out to Keiran. “Wear this,” Spiro instructed. Keiran looked at the pendant, then at him. “What is it?”
