Standing a few yards away, kneeling in a patch of wild clover, was Maeve. ​But it wasn't the Maeve I had seen at the estate, the hollow-eyed, trembling shadow of a girl. This Maeve was radiant. Her skin was tanned from the sun, her hair was braided with wildflowers, and her eyes were bright with a mischievous, healthy spark. She looked exactly as she had the day before the world ended. ​"Maeve?" I whispered, my voice sounding strange to my own ears. It was younger, untainted by the gravel of grief.

' Maeve interrupted excitedly in her head, her voice so loud that Ann physically flinched from the shock. 'Maeve we can't keep her! She's Felix''s wife!' Ann replied in horror. Maeve was silent for a while, but Ann could practically feel her mulling something over in her head. That foresight really didn't prepare her for what she said next though. 'What if… and hear me out… what if we got rid of Felix?' Maeve said in a seemingly innocent voice that only made the sly grin on her face that little bit more sinister.

I had mine, Rae's, Poppy's, the figurehead of The Howard Holdings Company, Audrey Ellis, my fun brunette persona when I wanted to forget my life for a while, and my reclusive ginger Frankie James. Frankie was never on my calendar, unfortunately. Audrey only makes appearances because she was more or less my alter ego for the gentlemen's club, Eve. And realistically, Rae and Poppy are the same person. Poppy is just to save face for Rae. I'd always be Rae Spencer no matter how much I tried to run away from that life.

"Lorelei, why are you still holding that urn? If you upset Melanie and affect the baby, you'll be sorry! Someone get rid of that thing!" Spencer frowned. "Rowena's gone. You should bury her and let her rest in peace." I bit my lip and shook my head, choosing to retreat to my room with the urn. Spencer followed me. "Lorelei, my mom doesn't mean to target you. It's just… Melanie's pregnant, and seeing the urn might upset her." The pain in my heart was unbearable. Rowena was his flesh and blood, yet in his eyes, she had become something he didn't want people to see.

She had to find a way to escape. The child in her belly was her lifeline, and there was also the mastermind, whom she had yet to reveal. The child and the mysterious man were her bargaining chips. Angie laughed proudly. "Go clean the toilet, cousin. After all, you're no longer Mrs. Spencer." Suddenly, Maeve grabbed Angie's hair and slammed her to the ground. "What are you standing there for? Don't you know you're supposed to teach her? Do I need to show you how it's done? Useless piece of trash!"

At the orphanage Melinda had finally recovered and returned to the orphanage, the love the kids showed her was just enough to get rid of her sickness. Ever since she declined her mum's request for her to leave the country, her mum had refused to speak to Melinda and at one point she claimed she was no longer her daughter but Melinda didn't let that bother her because she knew she was just angry and like other times, her anger would subside. Mia on the other hand tried to continue her life, she tried to forget about her fear just like Miss Joyce had told her but things only became more challenging for her, she always felt like she was being watched. She felt like someone kept on following her

" charge " Lenny roared and the vampire all dashed towards Maeve , despite their numbers they couldn't put her down . she was faster and skillful to the extend she was able to take them all , she dodged a vampire push and drove her stake through his chest she his body went ablaze .the vampires all move away from her scared of her "is that all your new babies could do ,such a waste " she mocked and Lenny smile as she clinched her fist angrily .Maeve speedily charged forward body slamming Lenny ,the impact sent Lenny crashing on the ground and she ended up hitting her shoulders on a tree far away
